Yeah he is, some of the earlier episodes from the current season feature him quite a bit more than usual.

I know it is but House always seemed so much more logical then this... I guess he was so preoccupied and stuff but it's irking me they didn't run any checks on him with how he was acting.

I'm reminded of when that NASA chick was trying to get past the medical inquiry with her condition and House pwnt her and sold her out, it just doesn't seem like him to leave it open.
