It's something like NBCUniversal owns the show, but Fox pays to air it. I've read rumors that if Fox won't pony up the cash to keep the show in production, it'll move to NBC. Also all the principle actors' contracts are over.

A plus to that is if it does get moved to NBC, NBC won't be a total dumpster fire outside of what.. 2 shows? 1? I don't even know. I personally still watch "Chuck", but it's obviously not for everyone.
Well, add in that Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay's Law and Order: SVU contracts run out at the end of the year, and I think they're getting paid somewhere around 40 billion dollars and a new private island per episode.. I think it's likely NBC (Comcast) will move it to their network regardless of what Fox does.
Edit: I hope they use Chuck as a lead-in, it might finally solidify the ratings with something else decent in its block. Fucking Heroes.
Yeah.. people are always like "WELL CHUCK SUCKS SINCE RATINGS FALL".. but outside of Chuck, what on Monday night has even survived? Hell, for the first part of Chuck, it had that shitty Heroes lead in... fucking Heroes.
But yeah. NBC's a dumpster fire as it is, so who knows. Give Chuck it's Lead in though, and Chuck > House? That'd be win. I watch both now as it is (Chuck live, House downloaded/Tivo'd)
I don't know how ratings could fall considering this is probably the best season ever.
You realize House wouldn't do it because he was trying to make Masters break the rules and do it herself right?
There's been about 45236785723469 episodes of House going into patients' rooms and yelling at them and calling them idiots for making the decision that won't save their life.
Was her last name really masters? I, for whatever reason, just assumed House called her "Masters" because she didn't have her doctorate yet.
Her name: "Martha M. Masters"
Even her initials are boring![]()
She's based on a real-life friend of Amber Tamblyn, and she doesn't have her M.D. but she does hold a PhD, as I believe she was part of an MD/PhD program (or got her PhD in something else).
qq I liked masters
The fact that he didn't force them to do something, whereas masters manipulated the information to do so. I think you might be confused about what he does to get the answer to the puzzle, because he would lie, cheat, and steal to get that. But once he has that, he doesn't give a rats ass about the person. Masters on the other hand had the answer, but lied in order to save her life after the fact.
You're wrong. Normally House would've done exactly what Masters did. It was just this time he wanted Masters to do it for herself. The whole point at the end was that he always does that sort of thing to save lives and that it "doesn't make you feel happy." If you think House wouldn't break rules to save the lives of patients, I have no idea what show you have been watching.
I think they said she has 3 or 4 PhDs but doesn't know what she wants to do. In the last episode, she said she was at a freshman mixer when she was 13.
So looks like the potential series finale is on May 23rd, yes?
