Based on what the creators are saying, it seems to me like they are gonna go with the scenario where Cuddy will be replaced by someone at the hospital

It’s a job we wouldn’t wish on anyone in the medical community: lording over the brilliant if bullheaded Dr. Gregory House. And yet it is a position that must be filled, given that Fox’s House is heading into its next season sans Lisa Edelstein as Princeton Plainsboro’s Dean of Medicine, Dr. Lisa Cuddy. What sort of superior should the show introduce to keep House in check? Female, male? Prickly, hunky? We have some ideas….
Matt’s Inside Line: Scoop on House, Grey’s Anatomy, Fringe and More
Series creator David Shore says the possibilities for picking Cuddy’s successor are “wide open…. Everything’s on the table” — promoting Wilson included. And yet we have the strong feeling that the writers won’t be able to resist the opportunity to shake things up with a brand-new boss person.
“It’s safe to say there’ll be new players next season. Some,” Shore told us. And with Edelstein gone and Olivia Wilde expected back only in measured doses (as Thirteen), “Yes, we would want to have a female presence, absolutely.”
Wtf? Wilde's contract got shortened too?
Who the fuck is left for every episode then? House and Taub? Man, I don't know if I even want another season at this rate...
I think its more that Wilde may have movies to shoot like she did last season.
My point still stands =(

Isn't Foreman in fewer episodes too?
Why are the writers/creator ignoring the fact that House is a fucking criminal? <_<
I don't think him having a new boss will make everyone forget what happened.

Well shit, that means I'm watching all of Season 8, cuddy or no cuddy.Odette Annable has joined the cast of House as a series regular for Season 8, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Breaking In creator on Raising Season 2 hopes: Fox recognizes there is something there
Annable, 26, who co-starred on Fox's midseason comedy Breaking In, has signed on to play a prison doctor who House (Hugh Laurie) meets while behind bars, Deadline.com reports. The cranky doc will invite her character to join his team of colleagues at Princeton-Plainsboro — which is much smaller these days since Lisa Edelstein and Amber Tamblyn have left the show and Olivia Wilde is still splitting her time between shooting movies and filming the series.
As such, Annable will be the show's only female regular, opposite Laurie, Jesse Spencer, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard and Peter Jacobson.
Fox cancels Human Target, Lie to Me and Chicago Code; picks up 4 new shows
So what does this mean for Breaking In's chances for renewal? Fox appeared to cancel the series, which also stars Christian Slater and Bret Harrison, in the network's season-end slaughter. According to Deadline, though, Annable's contract allows her time to shoot on Breaking should Fox renew it. Reps for the Fox series declined to comment on how Annable's role on House will affect Breaking In.
Annable also recently appeared on Brothers & Sisters' final season, as a love interest for Justin (Dave Annable, aka her husband).
uh, behind bars? lol
Gotdayum. This show gets hotter and hotter. If I get to see that every week I'll still watch regardless of how shitty it gets.
Guess House gets caught up with the law lol. Allows them to branch off with the plot like with the mental hospital storyline (except with more anal rape?) and even with a new character I guess.
Still wondering how they're gonna write in Cuddy being gone...
Wondering who this was, I look her up on google images. Jesus christ she is so hot outside of this show; I didn't think it was possible!Amber Tamblyn
That is most likely what is going to happen. House going to jail gives time for things to change that he will be unable to witness himself.
I am glad House is going to jail and not getting away with it. I figured Cuddy might do what she always does and give in, but, this is a nice change of pace. Just wonder if his team will get moved around like Chase and Cameron did before and etc.
The new dean will be one of the following seven people

It's going to be Wilson's wife or the Mormon doc. Those two would be the only two people who could create any believable drama for House. Vogler ran his course 2 episodes into his appearance and wore out his welcome rather quickly. I never liked his character (and it was forced on the creator anyway).
