The thing that stood out to me was the patient being dead. I thought in that one flashback House figured out it wasn't ALS, but that branch stuck inside him. Unless that was in addition to ALS? Also, I don't think House plans to get away forever, he just wanted to buy the time he could while Wilson was around. Which I think is part of what Wilson was so happy to see, House was giving up any chance of going back to a normal life to spend the last few months with Wilson.

To answer the first part, its pretty obvious he overdosed on heroin.

For the second part, you have to pay attention to Wilson during the funeral. He starts going on about how House was a jerk for leaving him the one time he needed him, for being selfish. Right before the explosion we see House declare he can change, and he does, by faking his death so he can spend the last of Wilsons days together instead of being seperated by jail. House finally changed and became a better person.

Did they ever explain why House and that guy were in the abandoned apartment? Last thing I really remember from the flashback was the guy saying he'll take the blame for House's vandalism from the previous episode.

I'm sorry, my heart is still recovering from how they basically rode off into the sunset together.

And what Salodin said about the change; not only did he change in that manner, but his entire life is going to change after Wilson dies. Presumably, there's jail time in his future. Like Wlson said, no more medical license. And being legally dead, that's going to bring about huge changes regardless of what happens with everything else. Very significant, considering they reminded us in the retrospective that he absolutely hates change (in addition to "never changing" throughout the show).

Side note: Kinda annoyed FOX didn't(couldn't?) get Lisa in for just the eulogy scene at least. You get all of the old cast in there but not Cuddy herself.

I think the fake death thing was pretty obvious though since they only pulled out one body. Kind of hard to forget the dead guy in the building we saw only 20 minutes before.

There's no reason for him to be a hallucination and it not come up before House's death. That'd just be bad writing.

Great show, too bad it's over now. It should have been a full 2 hour finale, they would have been able to squeeze in more information to even it out a bit.

You are saying the patient being there as a hallucination, prompting House to have a debate within himself about whether or not he wants to live... is far-fetched? Every other thing he was interacting with while within the burning building were hallucinations... no reason that could couldn't have been either.

Yeah, a lot of people I know were upset that there was no Cuddy in the finale. Just so weird for the series to finally be over and there be no sight of a cuddy for the entire last season, considering how important she was seasons 1 through 7.

i think their original plan was to include Cuddy in the finale. She probably said no and they used his ex instead after-the-fact. It makes more sense than why she was there as the hallucination

Loved this show... Was dissapointed it wasnt a full 2hr special was looking forward to that. Look forward to see what Hugh Laurie does next but dont think it will ever measure up to House.
