I almost prefer House on Monday nights. Gives me something to cap what's usually a horrible day back from the weekend. Only sad bit's that there's 2 eps left for the season and that's it

I suppose the writer's strike is to blame, but I kind of like how the first 3 seasons ran a runner that House's career/life was in serious jeopardy. One of the 'new ep' teasers seemed to indicate House was headed for some kind of accident on his bike. I want to see the life/death drama return as it's been absent since the focus moved to Wilson/Amber vs. House.

You may be getting your wish after all. Did you catch the trailer for next weeks episode? House delusional it seems and what appears to be him going in and out of conscienceness. Wilson makes me sad, he is a broken man it would seem, but he CB was right about him being weak.

He wasn't wrong...weren't you paying attention at the very end when he called Cuddy? The dude was allergic to something commonly found in tonic water, which he had been drinking religiously on the show (his character was supposed to be downing gin and tonic). I don't know why the tests came back negative, but it was definitely allergy, ergo the steroids worked.

Edit: Unless you meant his varying diagnoses earlier in the ep, in which case I can't recall a single episode where he didn't go through the same general length of steps to finally come to an accurate conclusion.

I think the test was actually for a specific allergy, so he was actually still wrong. He just got lucky that while the contributing factor was different, the drug treatment would be the same.

They said that the test results showed "no plant allergies", meaning they didn't test for every possible allergy (such as the one he actually had).
