    Re: House

I loved the finale. Most shows I've seen start to drop off a bit by the time they get to the 4th season, but this is as good as House has ever been, IMO. They went for a more comedy routine last week and went all the way across to a very dramatic and emotional finale, both of which are why I love the show so much.

As a side note, I was so hoping they'd hint that Kutner was watching Harold and Kumar on TV. I don't know why but as soon as I saw him watching TV the first thing I thought of was Harold and Kumar. Granted...that happens often when Kutner is around...

Overall good episode, and lol @ Fred Durst being in the last 2 episodes.
I saw him listed but didn't catch who he played. Who was it? I can't remember what he looks like.

If its anit-dramatic like season 3's first episode, I think House is going to retest 13 and it will come out negative. I'm sure Wilson will be getting over it between the time between finale and however long it is when the next episode starts. It was a sad ending, but very well done.

Wilson hating House makes for instant and easy drama for a season opener.... I just hope it doesn't last long. I'd hate this show if Wilson wasn't in it.

Man, I about spazzed when House "woke up" on the bus next to Amber, and I'm pretty sure I audibly and reflexively said "NO WAY"

Edit: Since it was mentioned here last week, Bones was totally epic too

Great episode, emotional, and very strong for a finale.

Taub was awesome this season, definately one of my favorites, and the beginning of Wilson blaming house for Amber's death will be probably a whole season thing, until Wilson remembers House was willing to put his life in jeopardy for his love life too.

Yeah, the downside of the show being called "House" is that there's no real dramatic tension when he's threatened with losing his job (Chi McBride arc), going to prison (David Morse arc), or dying (average of like 2x a season isn't it?).

imo, they should've let him stand near the door of the bus at the episode end, and leave the fans guessing if he leaves the bus to the afterlife or not

I loved the episode and all. But being only 20, and having no medical training what so ever, wouldn't the tox screen the Plastic Surgeon did at the beginning of the episode have picked up the meds Amber overdosed on? I guess the simple solution would have been that the tox screen only pics up on narcotics, but would it pick up on anything the body isn't supposed to produce itself?

Tox screen only screens for commonly seen toxins.

    Re: House

Is there an emmy award for like.. best single script? If so, that finale wins it. All the little things in it made it so awesome, especially the note on wilsons bed from amber, 13's test, etc. Also, wilson actually played grieving boyfriend quite well.

Although even thought he is a doctor, I don't see any boyfriend 'flipping the switch' on their girlfriend, ever(by this i mean actually doing it themselves, not saying they wouldn't do it at all). Only part about the episode that bugged me.

    Re: House

So sad, it's cruel to the audience.

It was good but yeah, ow. Make you attached to the characters and then put them through hell, I guess that does always make compelling storytelling... I feel like it was a little rushed to kill her off since they only had the Amber/Wilson thing for a little while, too.

Plus Wilson and House's true non-sexual manlove is the reason I watch the show. ;; How can Wilson hate House~!

Good character development for pretty much everybody on the show, though.

    Re: House

Great episode. They pretty much piled on the drama for the last episode, didn't let any of the story have a happy ending. Definitely still entertaining though. As a bit of an inconsistency, 13 and (was it Taub or Kutner? I dont remember now) should have found that note when they were searching Ambers home, but its much more dramatic that they didn't, and I guess not thoroughly unlikely that they missed it.

I hope they show gets a bit less dramatic next season, I don't like being sad after watching it

    Re: House

I liked it... but I don't think it's as good as last week's episode. Needed far more House, far less Wilson bawling his eyes out. I have to say my heart broke a little for him when he picked up the note in the bed.... that was very, very sad. Was still a great season finale, though I'm a little worried there will be less Wilson in the next season which will make me a sad, sad panda. Wilson is amazing, without him the show would lose something very special. I felt very sorry for Wilson but I wasn't sorry she died. Her character won't be missed at all.

The 13 thing was interesting, I did not see that coming, I thought for sure she'd test and it would be negative. Could make for a very interesting story arc. I didn't even get that she was worried she would be in the same position in a few years, I just thought that she was secretly in love with Amber and always had been, explainsing why they were making such a big thing about her being a lesbian (rounding up from 50%).

Also, kudos on the everybody dies. Well played, my friend.

I feel like it was a little rushed to kill her off since they only had the Amber/Wilson thing for a little while, too.
I thought that might have been because of the writers strike. All other seasons of House have been approx. 24 episodes, this season was only 16. 8 more episodes and I could have better believed Wilson and her were really serious. However I read that this was meant to be the epic 2-part episode aimed to be screened after the superbowl, so maybe not.

wouldn't the tox screen the Plastic Surgeon did at the beginning of the episode have picked up the meds Amber overdosed on?
I've kind of learnt not to pick holes in the whole medicine thing. Afterall drilling a hole and stimulating House's hypothalamus could have caused ANY memories to resurface, there's most likely very little chance that a few volts and he recalled the entire Amber scene - it's really convenient that was the only memory he had. There was a recent story in the news of them doing a similar procedure to a guy to supress hunger and instead he got a really vivid memory of like 30 years ago. Though if I was a doctor I don't think I could watch it....

Oh and it was cute that Cuddy was holding House's hand at the end. She just needed to be doing it in a stripper outfit. :D

Never been in the situation but I would rather do it then some random nurse that just met my loved one. Or are you saying you don't understand how they let a family member actually do the action of flipping off the switches when it probably the nurses/doctors job?

Anyway, that whole scene basically made it alright for him to do it in my eyes. The last thing she wanted to experience with her loved one is love, which she stated.

House called Wilson and Amber was at Wilson's house, so the note was in Wilson's house. presumably, Amber still has her own place that they went to search?

This is correct, can't remember if it was last week or the week before. The big deal with their relationship was Wilson buying his own bed.
