I did bust out laughing when Kutner cranked the pressure up and the guy blew out on Foreman. The P.I. is awesome - there was already talk/buzz of giving him a spin-off show if he went over well with the viewers.

I find it hilarious that Cutner is the most inventive outside-the-box thinker of the whole crew, and he's typecasted as a pothead.

I think they did that with 13 too, kind of almost stereotypically wrote these characters based on some of the other things the actors have actually acted in. Kutner was a pothead who coincidentally was working to be a doctor and now he's the doctor who thinks out of the box the most. And 13 when she was on The O.C. was a lesbian (with Mischa Barton's character, if anyone happened to maybe sort of watch the OC ... ._. ), and in the fourth season, House brought up that he thought she was a lesbian relentlessly. As for Dr. Taub, well, I have no idea of anything else he was in, so I can't really comment.

Great episode though. I like the PI, but I hope he doesn't replace Wilson like it seems like he's going to. I like Wilson a lot better >_>

I like the PI, seen him in a couple of small movies and always thought he was pretty funny and had a good grasp on his character, love to see more of him on House.

PI was funny, but so was House's abuse of the nursing staff with the emergency button. I liked that they seem to have reintroduced the whole "zoom into the body and see what goes wrong" CGI stuff that was sort of lacking in the last series. Glad this series hasn't started out bad; hope it continues.

And if Kutner's typecast as a pothead while having the most innovative ideas, he's clearly just House Lite. Have the most innovative ideas while being addicted to opiates, now that's how you're supposed to roll.

Anyone know what the last line of this week's ep was? The encode I downloaded is shit, dimension is a horrible release group, and the last line got garbled. "Hey, is there any way I could (garbled audio)"

hm, really not a fan of the PI. it doesn't seem like House; basically admitting he needs help with something. his usual style involves not caring what it takes to get the result, and certainly not placing his trust on another's shoulder. however, i'm assuming he's there to show how serious Wilson is with his decision to disown House, which i can live with.

I find him a bit annoying, but to each their own
