Yeah that was the beginning of season 3 (season 2 ended with him being shot and going through that dream ep where at the end he got some kind of experimental treatment that regenerates dead nerves or something). Obviously that couldn't last so even if House starts off as a cured and happy House next season, I'd expect him to regress back to normal House.

^ I love how this show can use the exact same tactic (Hallucination / Dream Episode) for two separate season finales and yet still not only surprise the viewers but not piss them off in the process.

I like the plot twists in the last episode, but it also makes me wonder if they actually have damaged the character House by putting him into an Asylum. I liked him best when he was being a sarcastic and bitter man XD. So I sincerely hope they won't "cure' him from that <.<

If the cure is detoxing, I'd imagine him to be even more sarcastic and bitter next season.

I'm pretty sure they meant for House's issues to stem from Kutner, not the vicoden. So while he may get detoxed off the vicoden he can always go back (he's done this a couple times). However, I'm not sure I want him to simply go back to that. While it's a working formula, I'd like to see them evolve him a bit and I think they could keep the show working without reverting back to original House. Of course, they'll have him revert back to vicoden addiction in the 3rd episode of next season and I'll be happy to see it, too.

I am somewhat hoping that next season will be House in the place curing the so called fuck ups of society when they are perfectly normal. Well at least for a few episodes and then he returns once he finds out he can still solve all these cases without vicoden.

I don't know...I could almost see it where people are in there for supposed mental issues, but really have something like Wilson's Disease, like with the episode where the mom heard voices.
