Went to see the movie - wasn't expecting anything good but friends wanted to go.

Was pleasantly surprised.

Just finished watching The Illusionist. Pretty good.

Lion King - just been watching this with my class (love the pre-Xmas time when work stops) and it struck me just how much of a perfect animation film this really and truely is. Managed to reduce a couple of my class to tears when his father dies - and my lot are pretty streetwise and hard to get to.

Shawshank Redemption - cliched as hell to put this in I know, but I just love the film so much.

Moulin Rouge - the colour and visuals in this are amazing - it's like the visual equivalent of drinking a huge cup of rich hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream on top (and Ewan McGregor looks completely and utterly gorgeous in it... Nicole Kidman looks amazing too).

Shrek/Shrek2 - for two kids films that really apealled on so many different levels (I was almost in tears of laughter when I saw the first one)
