Trying to optimize your parser there, Kalia?

How does your parser deal with Drain damage, as it is?

As was mentioned, a BLM casting Drain for 0 HP still did damage, but I imagine your parser won't account for that.

Personally, I think Drain damage should be separated out or discounted altogether. If you want to count it, make it a Drain category separate from Spells, Skills, Melee, and Ranged, simply because the number you get for Drain will often not be the damage it actually dealt, so nearly everything you parse from Drain effects will be completely inaccurate.

Currently no magic damage of any kind is considered, at all. Unfortunately that's just the way it's going to be for first version, but it will be fully working in the second version, which I hope won't take too long. If you cast drain spell, it's ignored. There may be a column in there for additional effect, drain. I can't remember if I took that out or not, I know I've never tested it lol. But the parser should be released in the next couple days, people are already beta testing it and it's working good so far.

Wow...why wasn't this posted in the n00b section. Not trying to be a dick, I'm completely serious.

    Finally!

Not sarcastic or anything, I can understand why it took so long, just glad it's nearly done.

Honestly, it was mostly just me being lazy lol. The first step is always the hardest, it will be more easy and less time consuming to make incremental updates than it was go from zero to first release. Judging from your sig though, it won't be much use to you until the second version

I noticed Bloodsword in that list of weapons which do "add-on" Damage

I remembered using it briefly on warrior around 55-60 and I remember it draining very often, for a good portion of what it hit for(rough guess 60% of the weapon damage?)

So in effect it dealt more damage than I thought at the time.

I had just assumed it drained me some hp(not on top of original damage)

Could it possibly have something to do with the shield taking -25% magic damage?

Kearnsy has it on the money, with regards to the chat log.

    Should be:

Lostsoul hits the Animated Shield for 310 points of damage.
Additional effect: 184 HP drained from the Animated Shield.
Lostsoul hits the Animated Shield for 175 points of damage.

for the last three lines, rather than what's actually there.

It'd be nice if the other drain weapons proced as much as Dotanuki or Yoto.

Same for the TP drain effect weapons, rather than draining TP once every 100 hits for 3 TP.

Blood Rapier sucks. ; ; I'm disappointed because a dual-wield of these'd be fun to screw around with. :3

Not sure if there ever has been a test done, but is there any correlation between mob level and the amount that the weapons do proc the added effect? In my experience with NIN and SAM, the Defense down from Yoto and Dotanuki really kicked in a ton on EM and below mobs, and less frequently with IT+.

I don't remember seeing any formal testing. But that seems to be the case with almost all if not all proc weapons.

bloody bolts seem pretty consistant... i leveled ranger solo in attowha chasm off many IT's + VTs and i think most went like 3-4 hits without some sort of drain effect.. i think acids proc pretty consistantly aswell...

i havnt really played with many other added effect weapons, so i cant be sure.. maybe ammo is different?
