On Fafnir and Camping..

I'm starting to think that's not even how it works, which is retarded. It'd imply that the window it would pop would have to be determined as soon as the window opened, or prior to the first one. Like the 21 hour mark approaches and SE rolls a 7 sided die to pick which one Faf will spawn in. -That- would make sense and make it even. But what I think it is is more like... Window 1 comes up, 1/7 chance of pop. If no pop, window two rolls around, 2/7 chance of pop. Continues til window 7... 7/7 chance of pop, so it won't go past 3 hours.

Idk. :/ That's how it's starting to feel to me. Might make a post asking for thoughts later. It can't be simply random.

Haven't claimed a Fafnir in over a month. We do Dynamis as a LS only.

It just popped, we didn't claim. 2 canceled dynamis and 1 limbus so far for the afkery.

Dynamis is guarneteed at least some currency, and possible AF that will go to your group. Why change your schedule and lose out on some of that? I'd personally go with a more guarenteed thing, than a % chance at even getting claim, and then more than likely getting crappy drops.

if claim success rate is low, I'd go to dynamis. atleast there you're gonna walk out w/ somethinng.

I think the problem is that there's always a chance. And besides, the last Faf we got was a couple weeks back when the people that got it had it go SSJ and we were the only ones left standing. So nobody wants to say "Ok that's it, screw this waste of time, let's do something productive." And then going back will be difficult: we've drawn the line at almost never getting claim, so how would we justify ever going back, I guess?

I'll personally just wait for half of the other LSes in the Aery to get banned for third party tools, then I'll have some faith in DA being productive again..

Start botting, and be flexible with dynamis when there are king camps that intersect it.

Well, this is a dilema that our LS' deal with on a regular basis. For us dynamis is a static event- we plan our schedule months in advance and co-ordinate with the other Dynamis-LS's on our server.
To respect the LS' that co-operate with us (and schedule around our planned entry/exit times) we always do dynamis at the same time (we wont push/pull for kings, even a day 10 HQ); However, our Dynamis LS also includes members outside of our main HNMLS so it is slightly different.
People are welcome to skip dynamis to do kings so we are usually able to float both- If they were to claim a large portion of our Dynamis members would likely warp/teleport to back them up... Last tuesday 7th window Nidhogg was right after we exited dynamis.. we showed up right before window, we claimed, E/M Body drops... lol

I'd do dynamis, at least you get something out of it other than more free time to whore forums between windows, which is basically most of what I do at a Fafnir camp.
