Weren't you Mr. PS3 a while back before either system was released? =P
Wii just got released in Britain today, guessing you just picked one up?
shouldn't you be drowning in your failure right now?Originally Posted by Epical

Not yet, I went with some friends to the launch and 3 people got a Wii (1 person got 2 wiimotes). So we played pretty much all night. It was so much fun I'll have to get one... luckily (or not so) Wii isn't so popular in my area so it'll be piss easy to get one.Originally Posted by Xavier
Its like wildfire. Pretty much everyone who plays one wants one. The lines were shorter on launch day than they are now for restocks.Originally Posted by Elcura
had 10 consoles in my asda. 10 people were sitting in the cafe for 14 hours waiting for it to go on sale.
really funny when a guy came in asking for one and was told no theyve been allocated. Went on a 45 minute rant to the manager about how he things he should have priority because he shops there every week.
He was asked to leave the shop.
why dont stores just get a full fucking stock instead of "hay were getting 5 more Wii's, this should cover us for a week".Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus

I have a feeling I'm not getting a Wii until next year.
Went to Circuit City last Sunday, got the about an hour before it opened. I was probably third or fourth in line, so I was thinking that I would finally get one. Store opens, we all walk in, probably about 40 people in line......found out they gave out vouchers at 5 am.
It would have been great if they had maybe, I don't know posted a fucking sign saying something about them doing that. Instead they let a ton of people wait outside.
I'm never shopping there again, stupid shit. ~_~
I need to get a TV in my dorm room first, then I'll definately get a Wii :D And then I can play with Ulmega onlineHow does that sound? :D
they did something like that with the Future shop in my area. They handed out vouchers at 8 am (30 of them) and didnt put up a sign saying anything about it. anyways when the Store opened at 10 AM they said they would only let the people who had one of the 30 Vouchers pick up their Wii, only 6 showed up to pick it up when the store opened. THe manager wouldnt let anyone else who was waiting in line pick one up saying that "they were originally here first, they get priority". Needless to say the line went into a riot because if the ppl dont show up to pick up their product at the right time then they should forfeit their voucher.Originally Posted by Scythiroth
similar thing happened at a Toysr'us near me aswell. the Fathers trashed the store. There was glass and toys all over the shopping mall it was crazy.
Well, I know arguing with their stupid ways of handling a huge console release won't solve anything. I really had the urge to punch someone in the face as I was leaving though, but that would just lead to more: "omg, video games cause violence!"
How's the availability been getting hold of one in the UK anyhow? (Bank balance looking healthier than it should be, so I might well get one sooner rather than later)
More accurate statement.Originally Posted by Scythiroth

I'm jealous. I won't have my Wii until Christmas, at which point I'm locking myself up with Zelda and a few other games with Nikkei and not coming out of the room until New Years.
Depends on where you are, Wii isn't hugely popular over here so it shouldn't be hard. I reckon you could get one before new years/xmas if you shop around.Originally Posted by Cesaria
I'm gonna get mine sometime tomorrow =x
Pffft, I have to force myself to wait until after New Years... not driving around in the city to locate one, fuck that. ; ; For real tho, Wii was highly underestimated, can blame lolgamecube.
