No one really knows anything about the plot yet only other than speculating about the quotes that were shown in that teaser, so saying the story is going to suck is irrational. =\

I am no longer swayed by 'teaser' trailers. I remember the betrayal that was the Metal Gear Solid 2 'teaser' and subsequent 'demo.'

It's a pretty cutscene, but FFXII has set the bar pretty high on what I expect in terms of depth of gameplay from a final fantasy game. If this is just an 'interactive movie' then nothx. Especially if it comes out before the PS3 has had any 'must own' games without a final fantasy title. I bought a PS1 for FFVII, but a lot has changed since then. I'm not buying a PS3 just for FFXIII.

In the last interview with FFXIII devs that I read, SE is still developing their engine for all PS3 games and haven't gotten beyond the planning/mock-up stages for any of the FFXIII games. Who knows if that's what they're aiming for in real-time or just for the CG cutscenes. It's hard to get excited about pre-rendered footage these days. Naturally I'm interested in what they do, but they are a LONG way off from a finished game.
