I dislike AWP, when I played I always looked for No AWP servers. But I'd get on for some 1.6 fun, even though that'd mean me getting owned hardcore cause I'm not very good

If you want to play Source, just download CS:S. If you want to play 1.6, download Half Life first, then the CS 1.6 mod.

Yeah Magus, for 1.6 at least. Go to fileshack and search for Steam (account is free if you don't already have one) then download the Steam + CS1.6 cache.

As for CS:S, I think you have to pay for it =\

More like AK-47 or M4A1, or even D.eagle/AWP. 1.3 and 1.5 were way more fun than 1.6 or CS:S, especially in CAL-M.

Played some Source last night in a random server... was a ton of fun. Not sure why people hate it so much.

It's different for some people Epical, but I personally don't like it because I started with Beta and played until around the time CS:S was released. CS:S is a completely different game. Yes, you can adjust to it and get past not doing what you're used to, but after several years of that stuff (wall spamming, boosting, nades hitting through walls, etc, etc), to take it out is taking out a large part of fun in the game. Learning when to spam a wall because you know how long it takes a person to reach that spot, or getting the lucky kill while spamming is what made it fun for me. Without it, it's just not the same.

Not to mention certain maps were made for that stuff, ie: de_train.
