Before people start seriously speculating about the maintenance being related to fishing, or fish, keep in mind that's a google translation. The JP text probably says something like "we ask that players do not try" and gets translated to something related to fishing due to bad verb pairing.

I haven't stalked the situation, but on Midgard we had rumors of fishbots being banned. Sushi prices doubled. Started couple weeks ago.
Now I didn't run around to fishing spots and see what the scene looked like, or ask cooks for their input, so I'm basically just continuing the rumor I heard and have zero evidence on.
Point being, I'm wondering if your server had the same banning of fishbots as we supposedly did. And the RMT just swarmed right back to their spots after their forced vacation.
