i am also hoping that salavage or the new endgage area that SE releases will have some requirement from assault and wont be purely based on the laughable missions that we've done so far

i am currently on the last tier (SM) but havent cleared it yet, we've been clearing the rest of our static thru S and getting points from mamool at the same time. i dont like to zerg thru them to quick because assault is one of those things that you can do when your bored and there's nothing to spend 3 hours camping

most of my shell is between rank 1 and rank 4 i would say about 20% of the shell is on SM

Going through the list of people in my LS I have Assault Ranks for...

4 PSC
4 PFC
7 SP
5 LC
2 C
4 S
3 SM

Not a bad balance. Most people have at least some stuff they want from one Assault or another, and they are a nice thing to do when you have a little time to spare.

In my opinion, it's like CoP mission all over again, and people are slacking like always. Kinda ironic people bitched about CoP mission being too hard, boring and required too much walking, when they wont even do mission that can be done in whitegate only, and are for the most part extremely easy (almost all can be done with 3). I supose they didn't realize yet they are doing new content only if there is a good reward at the end.


Anyway, I'm not sure why people have so much trouble completing them. I never had a static, but could always find someone to do them. In a few case, I helped lower rank to get people on a later rank, but I usually just ask around in every endgame LS and find 2-3people who also need them.

I'm rank 3 myself. And yes, a lot of that is ED spammage- cause the rocks actually are nice for skilling up weapons.

There's certain Asssaults on each rank people like to spam- it's just tough getting folks to do new ones...and a lot of people don't mind spamming because they're farming AP for specific items.

It's not dead. It's just a heckuva lot tougher finding people who ranked up enough for the higher stuff(and more's the shame, I love my longer Sanction times), and I'm on Ragnarok as well. Been gradually hooking my LS on doing runs whenever they can, and it's worked.

SM here and still enjoying it. I trio them with friends, and I've been encouraging LS members to work on them (and I go with them when I can).

Really, if you can get up a rank or two, you get ones that are so much nicer than ED. If I'm going to Lebros, it's all about Evade and Escape. Stealth missions are fun, especially if I can convince my mage-crazy friend to use his gimpy RNG sub. And I have a special place in my heart for The Double Agent - myself and one of the people I trio with are good enough that working together, we pretty much always get it on the first go (the third guy solos Puks to keep them out of our way.) Plus it gives me an excuse to wear my Secret Agent beret.

There's a fair amount of inertia, I have to admit. You really have to push a bit to get people going, but once they get to higher ranks, there are enough options (including easier noncombat ones) that it becomes less difficult. If you want to give them incentives, I know a lot of people have said Sentinel Shield is nice, and no PSC or PFC is getting that. Or maybe that Multiple Ring?

after taking a month break, a couple members in my ls recently formed a small static, we're all on C rank now and the missions for LC were all really easy and fun

i dont even know why people do excavation duty.. it takes long and is boring as hell (well maybe its cause i dont have a blm or rdm >_> )... any of the Lance corpral missions far outweigh the lower rank missions in terms of difficulty, and fun factor

we will trio all missions up to SM as much as we can and by looking at the missions comming up.. most sound pretty interesting and not too difficult...

but i guess like someone pointed out earlier.. people are stubborn to try new things and will stick to what they know

also assaults have something for everyone.. even if you dont want any particular item.. you can always sell the rings/earrings on the side to make a quick buck.. im looking forward to full yigit set though so they should keep me busy for a while ;D
