Omg i have the 46inch, our tv's fucking rock. My favorite thing is definatly the weight, I think my 20inch tv in my basement weighs more, and comparing it to the 42inch crt I upgraded from... no comparison, that thing weighed like 200lbs lol.

I got this one (http://tinyurl.com/yzd9hu) a couple weeks ago and I'm absolutely in love with it. Got my cable upgraded to an HD box that I hooked up via HDMI to my TV. Also have my 360 hooked up HD and everything looks ridiculously amazing. Couldnt recommend anything better unless you wanna double the price and get a sony for the same size with only slightly better quality.

My friend suggested this one to me and I just picked it up earlier today, it is an excellent TV and you can find it for around 1,300.00 which isnt to bad imo.

Movies are awesome, HDTV is beautiful and gaming is at another level.

plasma bulbs need replacement every 40,000 viewing hours and cost $1,000 (used to be anyways). anyways with high end TVs buy them at a place like best buy and get the warranties, the bulbs are free, plus blown pixels, etc...
there is no bulb in plasma TVs they are not rear projection they are direct view panels. tiny enclosed cells of inert gas are super heated till they turn into plasma(hence the name) and when they return from plasma state to gas state they give off light which hits a phosphor panel which glows. you do not have to replace a bulb.

You'll just need to replace the whole Plasma. (lols)

Those 2 lcd's are nice posted above, but my dlp is 46inches and only cost me $900. I guess for every 6 inches down you go its another 300+ dollars more you gotta spend on a lcd.

Current generation DLPs don't have the response time and halo problems found in early DLP products. Samsung and Sony both have some very nice DLPs that use multiple LEDs instead of a single white lamp & color wheel. Much better colors and good response times, no halo from the wheel.

LCDs are still the way to go IMO if you can afford it. If you're looking for a good picture at a signifigantly cheaper price though DLP is very nice today. I'm leaning towards Sony's KDS-50A2000 50" SXBR. Samsung has some nice 1080p DLPs as well.

Unless some new tech LCD panels hit the market Q1 next year and current models take a price dive I'll probably go DLP.

Sharp's 1080p LCDs are absolutely stunning too. I'd actually prefer a Sharp over Samsung, but probably not over Sony.

Then again, Sharp's 46" is 3k and Sony's is probably like 4.5, so...
