Apparently, all three of the people on the show agreed that the game of the year would be "Guitar Hero II." I am disappointed in their "expertise."
And... I posted in the wrong spot. Move to general forums please.

Guitar hero II is <3
Guitar Hero is fine for a short distraction when you're bored, like most rhythm games, but it's by no means "Best game of the year".Originally Posted by MisterBob

Guitar hero was a good game, but game of the year? Personally, I think it shoulda been Oblivion. That game was huge, so much to do, and so well done.
I second Oblivion.
GH2. Eat that Japan! Amerikka triumphs!
Isn't it like the same thing as DDR, except with the controller?
Its like DDR, cept with more headbanging.Originally Posted by Jyakku
GH is a fun game to play, but it isnt that much similar to actually playing guitar.
its sort of a fun way to burn time but I wouldnt rate it nearly as game of the year, that should go to Oblivion, Okami, FF12, or Tales of the Abyss.
That's what I thought. The reviewers said the game was original. :sOriginally Posted by Falconblade

Seems like my friends admire someone who's good at Guitar Hero more than a real guitar player for being insanely good at the real thing.
GH gets olde after an hour.
Guitar Hero 2 is fun for an hour.
If you have no friends.
2 player GH2 is pure joy that lasts all night.
Guitar Hero 2 is the kind of game that takes me back to the days when video games were a group holyshitactuallysocial activity, not something you played behind a net connection.
It's like having a pool table. Everyone who comes to your house and sees it wants to play.
