I'm aware of that, but I don't care anymore. Its up to each member and whether or not they're ok with buying from them. I turn a blind eye because I can't let the progression of the LS suffer just to "stick it to the gilsellers" which yields no results anyway.

Its almost as pointless as boycotting the AH because Viking all have 100+ crafts so a good chunk of AH shit comes from them as well.

Viking crafters are not a big deal on the AH; the bigger deal is Viking/UAF/RMT account for some stupidly high proportion of the high-end materials. It's not just Amemet anymore.

Earlier today we went up to Ullikumi after Nidhogg, and there was about 12 JP members from the same LS, no gilsellers up there. Then all of a sudden, they stop killing statues, and even wave to one of them, and just keep letting a couple pop when previously they killed any statue in sight, and then Ullikumi pops. Suspicious? I think so.

Likely either reading the Memloc numbers or have the .dat swapped on the placeholder. Gilsellers on Asura operate in this general way, but it usually makes it easy to tell which one is the PH when you show because they will generally only kill that one, or swarm around it when a legit LS claims it. Pretty much every other Statue in the room they'll just kite around til it depops to try to confuse people.

It's not. Like someone said, you have to make the most of a bad situation. All those Ulli stones sitting in bazaars, while ill-gotten, represent chances for your LS members to get haidates. The sooner you get your LS out of sky, the sooner you don't have to put up with RMT fuckwads cockblocking you. I think it absolutely blows that SE made this content so easily bottlenecked. At this point, you either don't buy from the RMTs and you don't pop Byakko and your LS stagnates and gets pissed off, or you buy the stone, get your members haidates, and gtfo of sky. My 2c.

Edit: Let us pray for the upcoming update. I am still firm in my belief that this last Ulli hork with the absoludicrous pop times is a shitty, ill-conceived tactic by SE to keep people playing until the ToAU content is completely released. They know sea sucks, and they know it stays empty, and they know people hate it and have stopped playing.

I think a large part of the problem with RMT is the attitude that you have to have an item or else. players look at the old school ppl and see items like Ridills, Haidates etc. and they instantly "have to have it". and because they have to have the item they do whatever they can to cut corners. RMT is an examploe of cutting corners. Players dont want to bother with the time and energy to farm up their own gil, so they use their realy money in exchange for it.
Whatever happened to the good old days where you could walk down Whitegate without stuff like a SH on nin and still be considered a good player? Id rather have a decently equipped player with some common sense then a player with good equipment without a god damn clue.

for example I got a pt on my sam today(currently 44), and the pt decided to go to Crawlers nest and fight Rumblers. I checked the pt leader and he had some pretty pimped ass gear. he had Snipers +1, Brig +1 and several other high ticket items. anyways we get into the Rumbler room and suddenly he "forgets" his oils. the whm sneaks him and we run to camp, he gets aggro'd dies, our whm tries to save him and dies. Our brd wasnt high enough to raise and nobody was around us. Both HP'd. The whm got pissed cause he died and disbanded the pt.
we got a new whm and the leader and him headed back. long story short the leader died 6 times trying to make it to the Rumble Crawler room. It took him 2 1/2 hours to get from Jeuno to camp. I disbanded and this point and just warped home.

@ Sephir: I agree that theres alot more urgency placed on getting items now than ever before, however in peoples defense, back when I got my Haidate we would xp off the golems at that camp and get pissed off because "fuck Ulli's up we have to pull around him" as he walked around unclaimed for hours. Oh how I miss the good ol' days. The competition for Ulli now is rediculous. A LS obtaining 5 or 6 Autumnstones a week now is unthinkable where as it wasn't a year ago.

nowdays its joke cuz you see noob poping from no where with +1 equip but they dont even know how to play right. the game is kinda unballanced because the real good play dosent mean +1 equip anymore and not HNM gears.

Personally i quuit cuz i had enough to work hard for my gils and get fucked over by RMT and the lame peoples that buy gils.. last year during chrismas i bought a P charm for 23m.. not itts worth how much? 3 mil..
