The details of parade gorget were kept a secret for a long time, pretty sure ToAU was already out by the time the recipe was made known.

I wouldn't exactly include BCNM drops in an HNM discussion either, so knock out senjurinko and destroyers. I also wouldn't exactly include lv 30 Sachets in a conversation about endgame HNM gear either.

Also notice the fact that he said "or a stupidly rare drop," and look at the number of items you listed that have an 85% or higher drop rate. You've just lost Hedgehob Bomb, Swift Belt, Sea Capes, Sea Torques, Toreador's ring, Maneater, blau dolch, Tatami shield (assuming you didn't pop with HQ, right?). You can definitely drop Ace's Helm from any list concerned with reliable droprates.

Weskit, Dragon Harness, Brutal Earring, Musical Earring, Blessed Gear and Black Cuisses however, I'd agree, do apply as really good endgame gear thats relatively "not a pain in the ass / impossible" to obtain assuming your LS can do Limbus / Ouryu.

I'd also add the Boss Limbus gear to the list, since the majority of it is really good for the jobs that can equip.

I stand by the other stuff, I know people go 1/12 on swift belt, or 1/8 on the KS30 weapon they want, or have shitty luck on ENMs sometimes, but in general if you pop 8 swift belt NMs you'll get 4-6 belts, and the KS30 weapons drop at equal rates and people are constantly getting the ENM drops. As for sea torques/capes we have thrown out at least one of every cape, and torque drop rate is like 1 every 6 to 8 jailers, which I don't think qualifies as "stupidly rare".

Edit: And for Xavier, when I think "stupidly rare" I think d. ring and ridill, I don't think of a mob that drops one every 10 kills or more unless it only pops once a week. As for Ultima/Omega they should be on the list as should a lot of other things but I wanted to finish my post fast rather than pour through all the updates between September 2004 and April 2006.

Stupidly rare kind of loses its meaning if you compensate by doing it a lot. Sure, if you do a Jailer 10 times a day, you're going to see droprates. But I'm willing to bet most linkshells aren't spending 5hours a day in a sea, so a 12% droprate kinda blows.

Somehow, saying a 12% droprate isn't stupidly rare kinda dumbfounds me.

Okay, it's semantics then, I rescind my list. The point I was trying to make was that of all the things to knock about CoP, a lack of good gear isn't one of them. I stick to things like mission updates with only one BC, two cutscenes and a door.

And what if you dont have 8 pop items to use? How many of teh KSNM weapons are useful? 3? But again, we are talking end game play. ENM drop rates are terrible.... i would still count the tourques as stupidly rare for the simple fact, it can be SUCH a pain in the ass just getting pop items FOR the jailers. You spend hours upon hours upon hours farming Sea, to get enough pop items to POP the thing needed to POP a jailer. The get your organs, you spent hours collecting, you kill ths stupid mob, only to have the next pop item not even drop at ALL. So yea getting 6-7 jailers is a pain in itself. If pop items dropped 100% like they do in Sky, then i wouldnt have a problem with Sea. As it stands the drop rate is WAY to low for the hours you must invest.

I like how people have come to accept the fact that a 1/10 drop rate is at all acceptable.

You forgot to add that all sea NMs besides JoL(I don't count AV until someone can kill it again) only drop 1 useful item each. The use of faith baghnaks could be debated though.

The problem with swift belts isn't the drop rate, and it isn't that people don't bring 8 pop items with them for one belt. It's because there's always one guy with shitty luck who goes with 7 other guys, spends 4 hours in there, doesn't get his belt, can't get the people he helped to come help him the next time so he gets 7 other people and his belt doesn't drop and so on and so forth for 11 Sacrarium runs totalling 40 hours. But the drop rate itself is decent. KS30 weapons I was just referring to Senju and Destroyers that I'd put in the list. As for sea pop items not being 100%, you're preaching to the choir here. And Choplix recovers your PT's HP and MP and just rocks in general.

    Honestly.

Would the game break if NM's you specifically had to use a pop item to fight actually had a 100% droprate on what you were after? Whats the point in making some people go 1/12 on Swift Belt? I don't understand why you'd make someone so frustrated they'd quit the game, or defend something so retarded.

They made sky droprates 100%, and, oh, I don't know, everybody loves sky.

eh I still think the drop rate is stupid. You shouldn't farm for a pop item for a chance at a NM, you should farm the pop item for a garunteed belt. I lost count of how many pop items I went through, I think I finally got it at 1/11. So much time wasted, i'd have been much happier getting it from my initial pop item.

Wafik was given an imaginary 6hr ban minutes ago.

I'd like to instruct the jury to disregard his previous statement. Even though I agree with it.
