Shark Gun is also really good, its actually a decent endgame piece for cor's.
Alternatves to Shark Gun = Corsair's Gun or Coffinmaker.
Corsair Gun = D41 Del600, no other stats.
Coffinmaker is a KS30 weapon w/ D40 Del 600, RACC+9
Shark Gun is D39 Del600 racc+5.
Oh, did I mention that Shark Gun is available at lvl 60 whereas the other two guns are lv75 and 72 respectively ?

Close. Shark Gun is 582 delay, D39, R.acc +5 (and R.atk +5 in Beseiged, lol). Hands-down best gun a COR can use from 60-72, but an unlocked Coffinmaker is definitely a slight improvement over it when you hit 72. Some COR's prefer Martial Gun as their endgame gun of choice too, claiming that the TP bonus does more for their Slug accuracy than the R.acc +9 from Coffinmaker.

The only use I can see for Corsair's Gun is if your only goal is to maximize Quick Draw damage, or if you can't afford/obtain Martial Gun or Coffinmaker.

It's obvious what SE used to create it? or its obvious which jobs its intended for?
because the later is not really so obvious, based on the previously available gear only.

Pln. is reskinned THF AF, yet can be used by many jobs above and beyond THF.

Just because the mithra is wearing reskinned BLU AF, doesn't mean that it is even wearable by BLU, (although likely) it could easily be an Abj. set, usable by a number of jobs. All of those COULD be.

I mean that it is obvious what AF they reskinned for the different models. The lolWise set consists of recolored WHM, SMN, and BRD AF and is Blue, not Red, so it is best to not try to draw conclusions about who the gear is intended for by the model/color. (One of these days I am going to get around to recoloring DRG, DRK, and SAM AF to some shade of yellow and calling it the new SMN JSE set.)

11 Ridill, 1 gone, 1 went to a player who quit and gave his acct to someone in the LS, 1 on someone who logs in to bitch new members out then log out, 1 on someone who quit and is thinking of coming back, 1 on someone whos so flakey on attendence I dont even want to consider him a member
4 M.Body, 1 quit, 1 never has time to play anymore

I think my LS has lost about 1 or 2 ridills and e.bodies too, but only out of maybe 8-9 of each. However, I think you can say the same about almost any other piece of gear, from ridill to seiryu's sword. In fact, I'm willing to bet you've lost more haidates or w.legs than ridills and e.bodies, but that doesn't mean people quit when they get them.

I just chalk it up to simple statistics. If 20% of your LS has ridill, 20% of those who quit are likely to take a ridill with them. In your case, counting only those who actually quit (not the ones who are still actual members), that's roughly accurate.

Hm. One can only pray that these sets will have some practical use that is more desirable then some current-day gear. Then one can wake up and realize that this will most likely be a new incarnation of hydra gear. I like the artwork on the DRK-ish armor set though.

Doesn't have to just be that stuff either though. I mean, in terms of new gear per the discussion here... it doesn't take rocket science to figure out what the playerbase wants on a piece of gear. Instead we get weird latents, enchantments, or other stuff that make a piece macro gear at best.

As far as what you replied with though, I think that those kinds of things shouldn't be the end-all be-all of the game though. Why should a Ridill mean you beat the game? (more in a rhetorical, game design sense).

I think what that's doing is taking the results of bad design and using them as an excuse not to correct it. Ridill or A. Body or whatever shouldn't be the end, it should be a stop along the way. Like Khamsin pointed out, plenty of other great items are lost when people quit, the only reason these stand out is because they're rarer. If they weren't, you wouldn't really think twice about 'em.

On the other hand, maybe if Ridills and E. Bodies weren't Hell-on-a-stick to aquire people wouldn't consider getting them "beating the game" and would play longer. Most people see end-game as a spiraling vortex of misery, bots, and low drop-rates. Maybe if they could somehow combine fun (limbus) with rewarding (Fafnir/Nidhogg) people would be less apt to get their shit and quit because they are actually enjoying themselves (I know, news flash to S-E- people play games for fun and enjoyment) and not just playing because they are next in line for e-peen gear +1.
