Sorry to bother Ya need PS3 help

I just got a PS3 and its awesome (please save the lol600 system jokes)

I also bought a 1GB Memorex USB Flash (19.99)

I copied some photos from my pc + a couple of songs to install on my HDD but it doesnt register for some reason

The PS3 recognizes it (The Pen), but for some reason it says I have no files on it, but when I plug it into the PC the files are there, can anyone help me out?

I searched google and youtube for any videos illustrating my dillema but all I found nothing =/

I want to tansfer some photo files/song files from my pen to the PS3

For some reason PS3 isn't reading any of the files
I have the latest firmware update for the PS3

Do I have to update the USB (Pen) somehow?

I just copy/pasted the files from my folder into the G drive which is my flah drive

On your usb Drive create folders called "Video," "Music," and "Picture," and put the files into those folders and then put the drive into the ps3

I don't have a PS3 so I can only speculate on what would cause the drive to not be read by the PS3 AT ALL.

Put the usb drive back in your computer.

start -> settings -> control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management

OR

start -> run -> compmgmt.msc

Then hit storage, disk mangement and in the bottom right check out the drive. I have a feeling its ntfs formatted and the ps3 can't read that.. (most usb devices are FAT32)

Just to be safe delete the partitions on there and make a brand new one from scratch, than reformat it as fat32 and the PS3 (and many other devices in the world like personal cameras/etc) will be able to read it and understand what it on it.

Our kids will never know what its like to go to the store and buy a game that works out of the box without having to go online and download 20 patches

Developers can skip the QA phase and ship products out the door, who cares if a problem is discovered since it can just be remedied over a patch!

press triangle and use display all

you will access all the files on the usb
