Well since you seem to know what's going to be dropping in Salvage already please share with the group. We'd love to know before the update what's in there.
As would I...
I'm personally guessing that COR/BUM/PUP Relic Gear will drop here. I'm sure hoping those three get-ups they showed us aren't them (no pirate look to any of them), but if there's any place they'd add it, it would have to be here... Unless they have some other endgame idea or more Dynamis areas on the way, too.
If SE really adds a whole zone just for 3 jobs AF2, then they are really stupid. Seriously I wish people would quit suggesting this its the dumbest fucking idea ive ever heard. Have fun with your Blu Cor Pup alliance ttrying to clear this shit.Originally Posted by ircgeek

don't forget multi-job people either.
My point still stand, no matter how dumb SE is, they arent dumb enough to make a whole endgame encounter for 3 jobs AF2. I foresee a similar rewards system to Limbus, and since this is possible to do more often and more freely, I see weaker rewards for it if the drops arent related to earning some kind of points or coins. The best possible thing I could imagine is the gear is sub par with a few ok pieces, but that there may be something similar to ??? item chest and that can drop something quite amazing about every 1/50 attempts.
Because we all know that S-E wouldn't put other drops in there to make it worthwhile for other players. Jesus Christ you people are touchy.Originally Posted by Siatdiat
I thought Dynamis only dropped MNK, WAR, and BST AF2 anyway...so it'd be about the same...
...when people were debating if S-E would just add the new job relic to existing areas, I suggested we would just trade in the equivalent BST piece to an NPC for COR/BUM/PUP Relic. Problem solved.Originally Posted by Isiolia
They should just make all items in a zone generic by slot, but tied to the zone as well. So you'd get Tattered Gauntlets in Xarc, which could then be traded in for BST, THF, NIN, or WHM.
Then all it'd take would be adding a new job to the list that you can trade in for, or just a different NPC to bring the item to.

You didn't think of it because theres no affordance. It just doesn't make sense that you would have to do a completely unrelated task which has a 6-person cap to generate points that are used to get equipment items to instead use those points to give one-time access to an 18-person raid instance.Originally Posted by ircgeek
Maybe SE agrees with some of the posters here, people aren't doing enough assaults, so they're going to make you do 'em.
It should have been obvious after questioning the longevity of Assault, frankly. Dynamis costs you gil. BCNMs require seals (which take time to earn). ENMs require about an hour of footwork to enter. ISNMs require IS. Everything requires some sort of "points" to enter.Originally Posted by FFXIFlux
Makes sense - bet they wish they added a point system to Garrison and Eco Warrior, too.
