Obviously job priority works for Judai's dynamis shellOriginally Posted by zymurgy
. Oh hey guys were not in the same shell "outside of dynamis" so lets screw each other over k? k. You say "rare drops don't need to go to the people that can use them best like an hnm ls". So why isn't everything just free lot? I think it might be because one job needs it over the other. Saying it's ok cause we're not HNMLS is just plain stupid. Might as well just say, "We're totally ignorant on anything to do with equipment other then it says WAR/PLD/DRK on the job description so oh well". If gear doesn't matter cause it's not an hnmls, what's the point?
Valor Surcoat(PLD) vs Hydra Haubert(PLD/WAR/DRK)
Fighter's Lorica(WAR) vs Hydra Haubert(PLD/WAR/DRK)
Do the math.
That isn't even counting how the warrior will almost never use it cause guess what? It's gimping them at almost all times over something elseWhat do PLDs do again? Oh ya they tank, I almost forgot.
To inafume- To say +5 enmity to a PLD is not much, boggles my mind.
Nothing to really say after that. btw banana, go away.Originally Posted by Termon@DBForums

LS is successful, it's their business on how they lot items, and their members seem happy. Noone really has the right to judge their entire linkshell and how it's run.
However, if you put all of that aside and just look at a situation where an item like this drops that's obviously amazing for PLD and pretty useless for WAR and DRK, then you'd be hardpressed to say that the WAR and DRK aren't lootwhores.
Are they entitled to lot it? Sure, it's the rules.
Does anyone else have any right to comment on how they think DB should run their shell? Nope.
Can I say that I think the WAR and DRK were pricks for lotting on an item that would benefit the PLD's far more? Sure. It reeks of a mentality that people should lot if they are allowed to, just because they can and not because they actually really need the item or will ever even use it.
Putting aside lotting rules and dedication, would be like a DRK or PLD (with no other mage job levelled) lotting a Vivian Ring before a mage job. Given the rules of the situation (dedication to LS, lotting points/priviledges, etc.) it might make sense, but without those in place it's a pretty selfish move.
However, I agree that the OP just seems to be whining here looking for some sympathy. There was really no need to bring your private LS matters here onto public forums, pretty low class in my opinion.

I never once mentioned the LS or the member's name.
I have repeatively tried to keep the topic on hand: What do other people think about a possible rule change, and that ONLY reason i posted here was because i was confused that several responses on the private LS forum didnt think it was a good idea and wanted to make sure i wasnt going insane.
The LS, Kain, or anything else is not under question, just that one rule. Its clear what the popular opinion is, but in the end it holds no weight to the decision within the LS. Nothing is keeping kain from lvling pld, and the item wont vanish once he has pld lvled. And no one can bitch about how another LS rewards its members.
291 PLD to 9 WAR.
I will say it again:

Dynamisbums is the reason Phoenix has never had a dominant LS ever. It is the reason we have less level 5 relic weapons than any other server. It is why ls on other servers have more relic weapons than Phoenix entire NA community combined. When I stopped playing we had 1(yes 1 NA with lvl 5), maybe someone else has finished since then I have no idea. All it does is bring people together who whenever they feel they get screwed in their current HNM shell say hey lets quit and make a new shell together. Thus spreading out all the talent repeatedly until all the HNM shells are diluted. Similar to making expansion teams in a sport. I think Dawn is the one ls that survived while existing since the start of DB, although I don't know if they really do anything at all anymore.
This is why anyone on Phoenix that had remotely any skill either quit the game completely, is afk 23-24 hours a day, or RMTed their ID.
On another note there were some really good players in this ls, but like I said none of them play anymore. You can probably thank SE for adding no content worth playing since Zilart for that as much as DB though.
Yeah cause for Drk it complements the Dmg addition they get from their JSEOriginally Posted by Bwelch
I think most Drk would avoid this type of armour... even with /thf for TA...
It could potentially be useful for War/Whm tanking but again... Pld would profit from it more.
Lol Saito you suck at life. Im glad im not that bitter at the world. And if your only complaint with Dbums is that it is a haven for all the members of Phoenix and spreads out its currency rather then hording it for specific members, then you show nothing more then your own bitterness and greed. And -everyone- knows how much of a loot whore you are. Perhaps you should stop being butthurt that your not in Dbums and start apologizing for all the LSs you have betrayed/fucked over in your attempt at epeen. Im just glad w7 kicked your ass out before you had a chance to pull a Navvii. Oh, and you didnt mention how you stole a friends acount and sold all the gear to buy that speed belt your wearing in this post of hateful injustice. Not to mention not having the balls to post under your real name.Originally Posted by Suckmynuts

Honestly, I find this thread utterly repulsive. I'm a loot whore in my own right, that much I will never deny. But I would *never* even THINK about lotting on that over a Paladin, no matter what the fuck lotting rules the shell has. It is absolutely a matter of decency.
"I want cool Mannequin armor! Fuck you Paladins!" is *basically* what Kain said in lotting it. In meripo parties, you don't need enmity. If you want it, throw on your fucking AF Body and hit a voke. OMGAWD YOU LOSE 1 ENMITY THE END IS NEAR. Whereas compared to a Paladin, another solid block of enmity on every single action they do is overall actually useful. On a Warrior, this armor serves NO purpose in the least. Kain should be castrated. Perhaps that sounds unduly harsh, but obscene examples of loot whorism such as this honestly make me sick to my stomach.

I'm not in their linkshell now, but that was a result of the greater picture of FFXI not appealing to me, as opposed to their linkshell. For my last couple weeks, all I logged on for was Dynamis events, really.
And they still had no problem with me showing up to runs. Some loot restrictions were placed on me because of my attendance, but I had no problem with that.
The fundamental difference that most people on this thread are not grasping is that Dynamisbums doesn't aim for efficiency. They're not the proverbial six-man Jorm group, they enjoy working with each other, and treat dynamis as something fun, and loot drops as something to be celebrated. Many HNMLS treat things like a business, and in that respect I understand why they insist PLD > WAR for the Haubert. But in DB, they're happier to have the haubert at all. It's a community element which I argue adds more to the LS than efficiency ever will.
Not to mention the fact that they're pretty damn efficient to boot.
In layman's terms - These people like spending time together and they're linkshells that can cooperate and where people are friends. Far more than many people can say, judging from a quick glance at page 1 of the Adv.Board
