The problem I have with all of this is that it has basically villified a productive and dedicated member of the linkshell without anyone knowing any of the facts. First of all this is not a HNMLS run Dynamis, it is an open shell. Dynamisbums is the oldest Dynamis linkshell on the server and has been running relatively drama free since 2004. The member in question has come to 100 runs. According to our rules all hydra gear is free lot if it is equipable. Warrior -1 AF is open to any member who's upgrade job is set to warrior and has the legs AF piece, which he has. You can't make the same kind of distinctions that an HNMLS would make about gear because this is not an HNMLS. Rewards in this kind of system are based on linkshell participation, not individual job usefulness.

The fact that he took a fucking Hydra Haubert for the sake of meripo tanking still makes him a fucking moron though.

Bashing him is not productive in anyway and only serves to hurt friendships. A dedicated member of a LS got an item they want and will use, i dont think that is such a travesty.

The only point of this thread was to shed some light on public opinion on one specific rule. I know once the drama train starts moving on BG its hard to stop, but can we focus on reason why pld/war/drk should have it, and not on belittling the person that got it?

For usefulness, pld > war all the way, especially if it's a LS-based dynamis.

If it's an open dynamis, and people signed up with the expectation to be able to lot, then whoever commented it ftw.

neo, it is not a LS run dynamis, its an open dynamis for members of any HNMLS on phoenix. Yes, we have our own linkshell, however, we recruit anyone on the server who dosent suck ass and we want everyone to be able to have an equal chance to get stuff.

as for the guy that got it. 100+ runs with a single LS pretty dedicated not complaining he got it...plus i like the guy, he's not even in my hnmls

In my somewhat biased opinion, this is even stupider than lolsash. That's at least an upgrade for sam (and imo a sidegrade for HNM tanking NIN), this is a major downgrade for DD war and a sidegrade for HNM tanking war. 5 enmity more than Valor is fairly substantial for PLD on the other hand. The lotting situation is almost exact same though. It seems to make more sense for shells that meet only twice a week to put more emphasis on loot whoreness than how it helps the shell.

Dbums is a skilled group of good friends that i would say rivals the best dynamis LSs ouy there. This post was in no way a question of either them or kain's ability/loyalty/whatever, but was simply a poll on what people thought about a silly rule.

Oh I'll be the first to acknowledge that DB is easily the best Dynamis LS on Phoenix, but that doesn't change the fact that they have some obviously retarded loot rules.

Hell, I whine about my Dynamis LSs rules all the time, but at least I can say we don't have drops arbitrarily going to people just for little reason other than seniority and/or having a job that can use X item at 75.

I used to think Kain was a pretty decent guy too. I'm actually rather surprised he'd do that kind of thing.
