Because I know I can put it to use on my RDM. I know everything I lot I can use and use to benefit myself and my linkshell, I've never lotted something (aside from the obvious joke lots) that was rare/ex and I had no use for.

It still boggles my mind WHY. There's an LS on Bahamut dedicated to camping Fafnir. Now reasonably I could go join them for 100+ camps and lot a Ridill right? I mean that makes total sense. (Especially since Ridill is more common than this Haubert right?)
A Ridill for someone with all mage jobs makes as much as sense as this Haubert. The only difference is he's crimson or a deep maroon now.

personally I don't agree with a warrior getting it, seems kinda greedy, like a WHM wanting a dalmatica or novio earring, but if it's the LS's rules, and they assumed people would have decency/courtesy for passing/lotting, then oh well it's a fault.

If anything, it opens eyes to possibilities of what can happen. Obviously i'd be dissapointed if it happened in my shell, but hey our rules are you pick 1 of the 4 sets for any job you have levelled.

Then again, we freelot shadowrings /shrug.

I agree with this. It seems dumb, as a warrior, to lot something that is personally going to be storage space -1. But then we don't know that the next person who would get it if he passed was a paladin or even if any paladins were present. It's hard to judge him for not passing when he (according to the rules) had every right to lot and we aren't intimately familiar with the situation and the what-ifs involved.

That depends really. While WAR does have AF body for tanking, this is 1 more enmity (Although I don't think that really matters) and I don't think I've ever heard of a DRK tanking anything of great importance more than once, which you will be clearly trying to do with this body peice. I think another issue is the refresh effect. Does it overwrite or stack with RDM refresh, and how much MP per tick is it? If it's just 1 MP/tick DRK can get plastron for that effect, if it's 3 mp/tick though then I think it might be better for the DRK.

Your flaw here is you're letting the 'LS rules' override common judgement. Every system has flaws. It's the leader's role to notice when someone is exploiting those flaws, and correct it. You should have noticed the power of the Haubert and immedietly said PLD only. Now you have someone with the best PLD armor in the game, and it will sadly rot.

Adaberk and Haubergeon > Haubert for WAR in meripo.
AF1+1 body > Haubert for kiting (the only time WAR should be tanking)

If he uses this piece... it's for epeen only... or he's a complete idiot who doesn't know how to play his job. I'm willing to bet on both.

However, this is an open-entry public LS, where even enforcement of 'LS rules' is what keeps people happy that they have a fair chance at gear even when they get outlotted. People who don't like the rules should request changes. As a last resort, they can always form their own shell with rules that they deem 'fairer'.

As a leader, turning around and rewriting the rules as you see fit mid-run, when the ONLY common bond between players is the rules that everyone agrees to is about the most retarded mistake you could make.
