Your flaw here is you're letting the 'LS rules' override common judgement. Every system has flaws. It's the leader's role to notice when someone is exploiting those flaws, and correct it. You should have noticed the power of the Haubert and immedietly said PLD only. Now you have someone with the best PLD armor in the game, and it will sadly rot.

If this was a LS-based dynamis, then I would agree with you.

However, this is an open-entry public LS, where even enforcement of 'LS rules' is what keeps people happy that they have a fair chance at gear even when they get outlotted. People who don't like the rules should request changes. As a last resort, they can always form their own shell with rules that they deem 'fairer'.

As a leader, turning around and rewriting the rules as you see fit mid-run, when the ONLY common bond between players is the rules that everyone agrees to is about the most retarded mistake you could make.

Sounds like the time I got fucking jewed over and a pair of AA's that the entire linkshell was certain was mine went to a white mage who was being 2boxed.

Do we even know if a PLD was the next highest lotter? (I don't personally and I'm too lazy too look back right now) I mean if it was only the WAR and DRK on it, I'd say the DRK would be better. If there was a PLD right behind him, I wouldnt of let the first two lot in the first place, public dynamis or lot. Items like that you'd have some kind of priority right? No Level 5 Black Mages who plan to level it sometime lotting over Level 75 fully meritted Black Mages, right?

well then yes, the rule should be changed regardless of what your members think. mantle and ring... whatever. they get wasted on WAR too but those are easy to get. Haubert is WAY to valuable for a PLD to let it rot on a WAR.
