That looks like those gun thingys in earlier FF games.
You know... Iron Giant, then the things with their feet in the air doing a down kick on your head, and then the guns that shoot AoE bombs at you...
Either way, this looks fun![]()

oh my...With no weapons (dagger/sword/gun/bullets) it would be pretty hard to do that 25% of stuff we do on top of rolls.
Iono about you, but even in Limbus (which would likely be the closest current comparison) I do a lot more then just rolls.
(You can't Quick Draw without a Gun and bullets equiped)
do you feel the urge to compete even on something said with an emote next to it?
what's surprising is not even all the alla fools are happy about this.

How many people are still more concerned about the update resetting HNMS earlier part of NA time when they are just about to drift through JP time back to us, than they are about what the update is bringing?
That looks bad fucking ass. I can't wait for the badass armor that's coming with it like the +5 INT +2 Enmity +10 HP body piece for MNK/NIN/SAM, and +12MP +12HP +4DEX +5 RATK piece for WAR/DRK.
BAD AISH SE, BAD FUCKING AISH.
This sounds good in theory, but... it only works if you live around Japan... so for all of us in NA time... we can't just take a 20 min break...Everyone gather together 2 hours before midnight, finish salvage, 20 minute break, salvage again
So... instead, we will have to wait 1 hour as the scattered 18ish people log on... *every day*
I don't get why they have to require a minimum number of people... I like Limbus better, where you can solo / duo / etc. (But for that, Limbus should really be instanced)
This sounds a lot like an 18 man CoP dynamis run minus the drops, with more annoying limitations that have to be unlocked. I guess time will tell for sure though soon enough.
Looks more like a tank to me.Originally Posted by Kuya

reminded me of this
Not sure why, barely similar but this came in mind when I first saw the pics.
Limitations based around arbitrary and fucking random ??? spawnings that require nothing but MGS to get to... yeah, I can see having problems with that.Originally Posted by RKenshin
I have no problems with these limitations though, since they said they're unlocked by defeating certain enemies. If the encounters you're intended to defeat while weakened are done correctly, they'll be strategic and fun.. and not 'normal' fights by any means. For instance, if you cant cast magic, the enemy you have to defeat has a shit ton of HP and only attacks by casting Tier5 spells over and over, in which the target has to run out of range or die.
I dont think anybody would have a problem with battles catered to the weaknesses, such as this. And im sure everyone, melee whms included, would have some fun running up and whacking something like this before being forced to run for their lives.
Seems to me that Periqia and Leujaoam points are going to be combined for the same Salvage area. They're both located in Caedarva, so it makes sense...
Either that, or it's two different maps of the same Remnant area.
I also tend to think that the sixth staging point (Nyzal or however it's spelled) is going to be the Dyna-Xarc/Proto-U/O of Aht Urghan. Clear all the other areas, the sixth area and staging point are released at that last desk, and you fight a big monster there for the ultimate drops.
If that's been said before forgive me, I think I may have skipped a couple pages of the thread.

does anyone think the mithra on the right is fucking huge?

The weird-ass mobs pictured are in line with sky and sea weirdness, which is fine, but when it comes down to it, you don't feel very heroic beating up crabs, baby frogs or weird mechanical block monsters that look like dog toys in a fantasy RPG.
The 18 person limit is a little dissapointing, but expected after Limbus and CoP Dynamis. The problem is that it doesn't promote people making strong linkshells or giving people any desire to stick around to help their linkshell. When you have 20 people show up for an 18 person event you're makeing people actually WANT to quit your game. I feel that SE has thrown in the towel and are accepting that declining player numbers means a 36 person event will soon be too hard to get the people for.
New icons, new effects, looks like SE has put some work into salvage anyway. Hopefully it doesn't follow dynamis/limbus etc. with just endless trash mobs to grind through with an uninteresting lootless boss at the end.
lmfao just noticed that, but maybe it's a JA that "shrinks" players?Originally Posted by bebeci
