edit: But yeah, I have Comcast too, so (*'-') its that I remember back in the day HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE..

Chances are its a Comcast hting, cause its connection POL errors and I have comcast.

seems to have fixed itself but im too busy with zelda since it came today to give a flying fuck.

Experienced this once before.....and its your ISP provider. I have Time Warner, and this happened about a month ago.

Connected to POL fine.
Had a bunch of time outs trying to get on FFXI
Finally did....and nothing loaded. I was naked, Moogle missing, then I d/c'd.
Had problems getting on FFXI, but never any issues on POL.

Friend of mine who is an EQ junky was experiencing the same issues. Could get into the lobbies, but neve into the games. Called some geeks at TW and found out that they had anetwork issue that killed a protocol used extensively in online gaming. Any app that didn't use this protocol would run fine, but anything that did, was boned. 24 hrs later they fixed it and everything worked fine.

Moral of the Story: Always check with other geeks who use the same ISP before spending a bunch of money or reformatting.

I'm too lazy to see if there's a topic about this (though I didn't see one) but apparently you can now play FFXI on the PS3 with an update that was released today from Sony.
