Even if those picture are cute, whoever is the parent need to get fired. Seriously...you dont let a dog 10 times the size of your kid play with him >_>
Couldn't decide which one I liked better. You decide page 100 BG!

But yeah, I wouldn't let that monster near my kid.
arent like... family animals horribly protective of children? lol
i mean really, the worst thing its gonna do is drool in front of your kid while it eats babyfood, or! lick the kids face :D
sure they are, but don't humanize it too much as it's still a dogOriginally Posted by Nirokun!
Nothing more wonderful than seeing an infant with scratches on it and the parents saying "oh the dog was just playing"
Dog people really freak me out, alot...
the dog probably just was playing? but you have to watch it and correct it when it should scratch your child
dogs dont say to themselves, oh crap, scratched the kid, better leave a note saying im sorry i got so excited
lol
its like having your child, play with another child (albeit bigger, and fluffier :3)
apparently, my first dog growled when i had food..... and other people came to take it :D (i probably sharedbeen sharing food since forever xD)
Niro you're completely wrong. Many animals, not just dogs, become very protective of their owners. When a new baby is introduced into the picture, they become just as jealous as the next thing (such as if your mom had a kid and was now spending all the time with said kid and leaving you to feel left out).
Case in point? My stepmom had a dog for a really long time named Tiffany. Like, years and years. When she had my sister, her first kid, Tiffany got really jealous and actually attacked my sister, leaving a big gash in between her eyes. The dog was NEVER like mean like this before, and it was so surprising when it happened.
My dad didn't take the dog to the pound that day or anything, but when it almost happened again as my sister was crawling towards my stepmom, my dad decided Tiffany was too jealous and that we couldn't keep her around for safety's sake.
You never know what an animal is gonna do. They can seem like the nicest things in the world and then go apeshit for no reason. Better safe than sorry, especially when a little baby is involved that can't fend for itself.
Kind of a similar story to Lbelle's, my Aunt's dog bit my cousin when he was 6 months, and I've known that dog for many many years, was the nicest dog in the world but one day just like Lbelle mentioned, it snapped and bit him. My uncle took him to be put down that day.
Well my frustration with dogs is going over to someone's house with huge horse-dogs that jump up on me and gouge my stomach with razortalons or slobber all over my clothes, only to have their owners tell me that "oh he's just showing he likes you"Originally Posted by Nirokun!
DO NOT WANT
Infants and horsedogs do not belong in the same house, period. They are WAY too strong to know their own strength around such a little person.
