Let's turn this into the "Shittiest car you ever owned" thread!

This was my 82 Honda civic. It's brown to hide the actual paint job: rust. The gas gauge didn't work so I had to go by odometer. On top of that, the speedometer always read 10mph faster than what I was actually going. Oh, and I also had to use this weird ghetto ignition system. I had to turn the key all the way, then press a button under the dash to start it. I had to do so many of those weird ghetto fixes to that car. I was so glad to get rid of it when I got my next car.
I think you pretty much won the entire thread Huggo.
No one can respond to that post of yours.
You are the king of shit.
Wow, I thought my Black exterior/maroon interior 87 Ford Escort was a piece of shit with the exploding rear deck window, oil consumption, and blowing a tail-light every time it rained... after I had caulked the deck... was an utter piece of shit.
You win.
Don't sell yourself short Sigi.
Your Escort is almost equally as shitty lol
You don't know shitty until you have owned a Ford Probe or Tempo. Its almost as bad I had green mold growing on the flow board of the Probe and I don't even want to get into the Tempo. Can't bitch now though since I'm in debt over 10K cause I'm a white kid with a 703 Credit rating, gogo new car.![]()
I got rid of it... gave it away.
About 1 year later, got a notice from Alachua county that the car was impounded and the title being held since the car was too dangerous to drive.
Current vehicle is either the 96 Prizm or the 00 Insight
I had an 85 New Yorker. I replaced the K memember, the brakes, many different engine and electricall parts, but when the fuel pump went out I finally gave up and traded it + 500$ for a 89 Chevy Celebrity. The only thing Ive had to replace on this was my ignition coil and module. (Just this week). I love my chevy
Lol, this was my first car! 1991 Ford Probe (I got it in 2000 or so) that had 156k miles on it. It was red, with a sun-bleeched orangey hood. But we loved that car, and we'd try to fit as many kids as possible into it (by taking out the trunk cover and putting people in the hatch back). I think our record was 9. And it would go into seizures whenever I drove over 55 mph and I was barely able to control the wheel.Originally Posted by Heian

o staying on the subject of crappy cars, my first car was:

1979 olds delta '88 royale, except mine was shit brown and rusty. my car was no where near as shiny as the one in the pic, but i couldnt complain. it was a free car and it served its purpose to my friends and I.
The odometer didnt work. I always had to guess how fast I was going. It got a nice 10 miles per gallon. When I'd turn the car off, it would make bubbly noises. Air conditioning didn't work, which anyone in the south can tell you... summer time + no air conditioning = you're staying home b/c it is too fucking hot to be out in your car until the sun goes down.
My mom gave me my first car. A 1989 Dodge caravan. It was the color of a brown paper sack, and that's exactly what all my friends called it. The paper sack. Was embarassing driving it to high school every day. I will admit, however, that having a van was pure win. Could fit 10 people in it, and line the aisles with coolers. So many good times in that van. Id of lved to keep it, but it had 250,000 miles on it, and drank a quart of 50 weight oil every week.
Looked like this, but was the color of a paper bag.

Where in Florida do you live?
I had a 91 Tempo as well as my first car.
It was horrible, and I think I can beat or at least come close to Huggo's masterpiece. I don't actually have a picture though since I never wanted to see the ugly thing again after I got a new car. As horrible as it was I had to deal with it, as I had no other way to go back and forth to practice each day at crazy times and was sick of running/riding a bike there. Plus I ended up being the ride for a few friends of mine since I got my license fast.
To start, less than a few months after I got it the starter broke. So, I would have to put my key in the ignition, pop the hood, get a screw driver to connect two metal objects next to the motor, and then it'd start up. It looked like I was jacking my damn car every time I had to start it. I was lazy about getting this fixed, but did eventually after I had to explain to a cop I in fact wasn't trying to steal the car.
Then, also not too long after, the muffler started to literally just rust it's way off the back of the car. It would scrape against the ground on bumps and it got to the point where I couldn't even drive without hearing it scrape the ground, so I had to get that fixed ASAP.
Also, the axil was horribly off balance... I would have to turn the steering wheel about 20' to the left to go straight, and if I let go then I'd start turning to the right.
Oh, and also managed to get not one, but two flat tires just from them being worn down. One of which resulted in the rim getting horribly mishaped. Which, by the way, were just completely missing from two tires.
Then, the acceleration was just... horrible... Me and a few friends actually made a bet to see how fast it could go 0 to 60. It took two minutes.
I could go on and on about all the stuff that was wrong with it but I think I made my point lol... The last thing I'll mention is it liked to stall if I didn't give it any gas, followed by not wanting to start up. So, even when I was stopped, I'd have to keep my foot lightly on the gas just to make sure I wouldn't stall, which managed to happen anyway a few times on a busy rode at a stop light during rush hours. Then, there's the starting up problem, where it can take anywhere from 1 to 10 tries for it to start up, and some times it still wouldn't.
But yeah, so glad to have my new car (now for ~2 years), and I love sticks.
Thats some fucked up car mangOriginally Posted by Huggo
