When are the gifts opened at your house?

When we were younger we'd get to pick one gift we could open on Christmas eve, then we'd open the rest on Christmas morning.

Now that we're all grown up we just do them all on Christmas morning. I still picked the small give on eve option though since those were some fond memories. :D

I see my father's side of the family Christmas Eve and open gifts from them then. Then I open gifts from my mom and siblings on Christmas mornin. But I also got what is probably the main gift from Christmas this morning when I camped outside of a Target from 12:30 till 8 am when they opened to get a Wii. It wouldn't have been bad at all if I hadn't lost one of my gloves.

XMas AM, but when I was a kid my folks used to let me open a small present on Christmas Eve, usually something my Grandparents or relatives had got for me before they left after coming to our house for Christmas Eve supper. Christmas Day was always a private family day in our house, we never had people over or went to other people's places on the 25th. Hell, it was rare that we even changed out of our pajamas or sweats to eat christmas supper even though we always used the fine china.

Christmas Eve was typically the day we had guests over for a big fancy supper. Tourtiere was the staple dish of Christmas Eve supper. As my folks both grew up in New Brunswick and one side being part French Canadian we keep up the tradition of having this meat pie for Christmas or New Years.

When I was a kid, we did the one gift Christmas Eve and the rest Christmas morning. Nowadays I don't really have anything to do with my family, when I exchange gifts with friends/the 2 family members I actually talk to it's usually done at a undetermined time sometime around Christmas. Christmas day is a good day to go to the movies for me.

I voted for small gift on eve, and the rest in morning since it's the closest.

Always open one gift on eve, but "morning" is a bit misleading since no one in my family really wakes up til about 11am at the earliest, lol.

Party with her family 2 weeks before Christmas. Party with my family 1 week before Christmas. Christmas Eve at my parents. Christmas morning at home. Christmas day at her parents. Trying to pay for it all til November of the next year.
