Am I the only person that said "duh" to this research? I mean, it's a lifestyle choice that is accessible to only the relatively well off (poor people can't make moral stands on what they eat, and chicken is a helluva lot cheaper than a vegetarian option), and I would assume that IQ also has a positive correlation with income...but that's just me.

And seriously, you euros need to stop bringing up bush as some sign that you're superior to us...you act as if you have never had fucked up leaders. Plus there's the fact that 99% of the world's conflicts today can be traced back to European meddling...as bad as America is right now, at least we've never tried to take over the world by force...we prefer to use Coke, Starbucks, Walmart and Levi to do our dirty work.

Not that i've mentioned Bush, BUT ...

Everytime I see this kind of arguement it's pretty certain a non-EU person started the topic.

That's a doozy of an insult there! Since noone has said it, I will step up and say the obligatory "America, FUCK YEAH!". OF course I say that in pure jest.

I didn't start it, and quite frankly, yes, british people have had horrid teeth until the current generation. The average middle age brit has disgusting teeth, plain and simple.

The average american DID NOT vote for bush. He did not get 50% of the vote in either of his elections as president (though that is slightly skewed due to the electoral college, but that is a different subject).

And again, keep on blaming America for Iraq...we weren't the ones that created the problem (Ahem, Britain). Nor did we cause any of the various civil wars/ethnic cleansing in Africa (ahem, Britain/France/Belgium/etc). Nor did we cause the Holocaust (ahem, Germany) nor did we cause the conditions for Hitler to arise to power (ahem France).

So the next time any Euro says lolbush or the like, I'm just going to say lolholocaust, lolWWI, or something along those lines. Stick to the ugly/ignorant/fat american stereotypes.

You're comparing past events to current events. European countries are making up for their past mistakes now, whilst the USA is still busy making theirs.

Thing about insulting Bush is that, you know, right now? About 75%+ of americans will agree with you.

You're comparing past events to current events. European countries are making up for their past mistakes now, whilst the USA is still busy making theirs.
and which countries(1) owe money to which country(2) after rebuilding those countries(1)

we can fight about this all day poking at one another about flaws in the others countries, but that gets us no where. Cause every country has and will continue to fuck up, regardless of if your correcting for your mistakes now or later.

As for bush: well I voted for Gore in 2000, and I didn't vote in 2004 (I didn't want Kerry or Bush and voting 3rd party is well "unproductive" and just waste my time going to vote)

2008 election should be interesting to see, I'd like to see who we got runing next.

Years from now I'm still waiting for this too happen

LeninaHuxley: I have, in fact, perused some newsreels in the Schwartzenegger Library, and the time that you took that car...
JohnSpartan: Hold it. The Schwartzenegger Library?
LeninaHuxley: Yes. The Schwartzenegger Presidential Library. Wasn't he an actor when you...
    JohnSpartan: Stop! He was President?
LeninaHuxley: Yes! Even though he was not born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment which states...
JohnSpartan: I don't wanna know. President.
one of these days, one of these days I swear!!

Either way, try speaking american, it's the only language I understand.

to add to the original topic:
people that aren't vegetarians can still eat fruits and vegetables (and they should) I myself, yeah I eat alot of meat, I simply LOVE meat, it's damn tasty. But I have a basket in my kitchen where I keep fruit and eat it on a regular baises and I have canned vegetables with my dinners every night.

IQ test themselves are also very inaccurate, do to the simple nature of the test. Some things kids will catch on to and know what's going on, other things they won't, based on what thier intelligence is mostly focused at (some people are intelligent in the arts, music, some in science and math) It's in no way clear cut what defines a person of "high IQ"

There was no difference in IQ score between strict vegetarians and those who said they were vegetarian but who said they ate fish or chicken, the researchers add.
I will never consider anyone who does this to be of a "high IQ".

All the requisite eliteism of a "socially superior" group, with few of the downfalls (not being able to eat animals).

I'm sorry - i'm obviously missing something by your obviously blind stereo typing and living lilfe by assumptions that you're right and yet to wake up and face the harsh reality that most of what you think is wrong, BUT .. who started that war again? In fact, who brought this up again? Proving my first point.

Don't get me wrong - i'm no hater of over the pond people - most of my ls are non-eu and i love em and I have a number of mates that moved to New York/Australia but i'm quite comfortable saying you'd be an exception to that list. I'm not a lover of arrogance and a typical looking in the mirror - "oh arn't I beautiful" attitude.

I fail to see how most of Popeh's reply corresponds to Edgar's post. Bush was brought up, by a non-American (though I don't think he's European). So what exactly did Edgar create? Did he singlehandedly put Bush in office? What part of his post makes him self-absorbing, mindless, or ego-seeking?

I'm gonna have to agree with Edgar partly in fact. Saying we have Bush as a leader doesn't really invalidate everything we have to say. A majority of Americans on these boards are probably eagerly awaiting 2009 so we can get rid of him.

I sincerely hope that the remarks in the first paragraph were not to be taken literately but more or less of an ideological statement.

None of you are political scientists or historians, and it's obvious real feelings are being hurt by the fake bashing and defensive counter bashing going on here on both sides.

Take it here, and obey the rules if you really want to make intelligent points.

The study WAS poorly done. Locking thread.
