    Grid Dungeons = Determination.

And it's not a grind if you enjoy it.

You could say camping a NM day in and day out is determination too. And I dunno about you, but dragon fights are pretty enjoyable to me.

Who the fuck uses argus? srysly

I'm not gonna try to deny that ground isn't fucked up. But another dungeon grind twice+ a week just doesn't appeal to me that much I guess. And trying to champion it as a test of skill is kinda laughable. Dynamis isn't really difficult either but omg look no botters there and me doing it repeatedly for years is somehow more enjoyable/shows more skill/is not a grind than the alternatives!

Dynamis is 8 hours a week, limbus about 2-3 hours a week roughly? (hard to say with limbus rly). Assaults+3 runs of Salvage? I'd guess... 8 more hours a week. So close to 20 hours a week of dungeon grinds, and thats being fairly conservative with gathering/organization. Are the same people who claim to have "real lives" as justification for not camping/putting up with "asshole botters" going to pretend that 20 hours a week grinding dungeons is super awesome?

The new gear is great. It really is. Salvage looks like it has potential and the short "hell lets give it a shot" run I did was fun/hilarious. I just don't see converting this game to dungeon grinding as the ideal fix, I guess.

you don't have to do it twice a week if you don't want to.

there is no such thing as an ideal fix, but it's not hard to see who wins when the choice is instanced versus the entire server trying to claim one mob.

Nothing prevents people from doing each of those activities once a week instead of 2-3x I like how you assume that if you do an activity, you max out the re-entry timers.

The real failure of kings, from a designer's point of view, is that they reward only the "hardcore" crowd. When was the last time you heard of a casual-onry player getting a ridill/ebody/dring/dalm?

On the other hand, scheduleable instanced dungeon crawls reward both hardcore and casual people. They just reward the hardcore people faster.

this might aliviate some of the competition in Kings since this gear is very comperable to many king drops.....nah wishful thinking lol

Id love to see Ares body vs E body on parser.

Ares body would beat E. body by virtue of all merit parties focusing on T-VT mobs.

I suppose the only argument would be that the +10 dex would tilt the parser in favor of the e. body, but I dunno if 10 dex will really matter.

We really ought to see more WARs running around in Byrnies instead of Hauby/Hauberks then. And more STR rings instead of acc. :/ It's a shame Ares's doesn't have acc on it, but don't WARs need it, especially those with ridill/Joyeuse? But if we're to believe that Ares's > E body for meripo, wouldn't the same logic say that Byrnie > Hauby/erk?

Ebody will trash Ares. sup meat build easily compensating for the atk bonus on ares.

Aurik, my shell isn't "hardcore." We have a relatively small time slot to camp kings- nowhere close to 24/7; our best bets are about 4-12midnight est usually. We've got one of each body, a ridill, couple heca legs and a nice collection of heca caps and ehands (>_>). Been camping for about... 6-7 months like this.

Yeah, you can do the instanced dungeons less often. Very valid point. But EVERYONE wants this new shit and fast lol... meh, I guess just let it simmer and people will realize its not an instant gratification thing. I do think it still stands that another dungeon fest is a bit of a strain on an general endgame shell though- its either max it out or have your people do it in specific shells, which inevitably conflicts.

EDIT: why should a casual player have "easy" access to the most elite items in the game? Something to think about. Look at console games even- the most broken shit in RPGs usually isn't la la la easy to get. Lightning strikes, gold chocobos, 99 floor dungeons, etc.

Sup meat build with Ares body. 15acc is not game breaker i think. With merits and plenty of acc available on other slots. But in time we will know in parsers. I dont think e body will "Trash" ares body like you say if it does win at all which i think it would but by slim margin.

Full Ares set is almost exact same ACC as a typical war haste build but.... no haste.
