Luckily none of my LSs DRKs think so! (or want gear for other jobs or a different Ares piece). At least in my LS looks like Ares body is going to be something only the PLDs are after for awhile.
..how can a DRK not love the ares body. My homam is enough acc for me, and the refresh is godly...

Same guys I had to tell to use scythe when they sub ninja...
    Oh shit dont go there...

I guess I'll contribute something for lolDRG to the thread. For a sushi DRG, it'd be the new best body ever imaginable. A sushi DRG's best friend is their Assault Jerkin, and to compare the two... HP-1%, Acc+3, Atk+18 vs 12 STR 24 Atk and def that can take hits, it's just staggeringly better. Most meat-eating DRGs would aim to sport an SH or Homam, and since you can get some of the greatest acc out of the body slot, this thing wouldn't mean much to them unless they could compensate somewhere else (possibly the Ares's head?). Would certainly be better for sushi WSes, likely even penta, and it would probably do amazing things for Wheeling Thrust. That is if you want to wear it over seeing the occasional Triple Attack WT spike. xD

Moot though since nobody really wants to bring a DRG to much in endgame (admittedly, it's understandable).

As a 304 scythe skill Drk who uses meat, I would still use E.body for my TP'ing purposes. Even with all that skill and (ego speaking) my other great gear, I'm only pushing mid to high 80% acc at the north thicket's camp (VT-IT). If I was in the mire, I might considering using Ares's on a meat build just because all those mobs are weak as hell, but then again I don't party at mire due to: always over-crowded and gay to xp (Cursed Sphere and Amnesia).

Edit: Unless you are in the low-mid 90% acc range, there is always room for more accuracy pending what you'd be losing; and a loss of 15 acc and 10 Dex for a gain of 2 Str and 7 atk is not worth it when you're already eating meat.

Although for anything that I do on /Thf, the Ares's body is definetly a good macro piece.

I dont really want this body on warrior. I mean, it's not a bad piece, and I would definitively find place where I could use it, but outlotting a pld or drk would be stupid, especially with ridill+e.body

If you have 304 skill and are only getting 85% accuracy or so, you're doing something wrong.

And I think everyones arguement is pretty skewed because everyone is acting like people simple stroll over to the AH and pick up an e. body. Depending on how hard it is to get the Salvage pieces, you cannot -ignore- the difficulty in which you obtain each piece of gear.

If the difference is splitting hairs in effectiveness, I'd give ares the edge simply because it doesn't involve spending 3hrs a day watching people bot HNMs from you.

Yeah but in the case of at least 4-5 of us discussing it here, it's not like we have to go out of our way to go get an ebody now >_>

    If being honest/realistic is wrong...

The problem is that everyone likes to pretend "I eat meat and almost never ever miss, I gotta be at 90+% accuracy" but it just doesn't happen. Bottom line is I would not TP in that body unless: I was eating sushi AND had sufficient accuracy gear otherwise.

And who says the body is going to be easy to obtain either? Granted its still very early and I haven't been whoring up all the Salvage info I can, but most of the drops i've heard reported have been leg and hand pieces. Not to mention there are 4 jobs competing for this body (not just the 2 for Ebody [sorry BSTs you don't count]).

Great accuracy just doesn't happen when you're eating meat unless you're always partying at places with very low mobs (Mire). When you switch to a meat build you're sacrificing the accuracy of sushi so you can start hitting harder. In addition when you go to party at any worthwhile camp (which is typically the north camp at the Mamook Staging Point) you start to fight IT mobs that have high evasion.

Having the best gear doesn't net you 95% accuracy on a meat build unless you're fighting something that isn't worth it.

Bla bla bla, so much melee talk! I think we need A LOT more discusion about how fantastic Morrigan set is for BLM! >_>
I think as a set it out does even very good BLM gear, and some of the peices are a nice inventory saver too.

A good mage doesn't need to discuss how awesome this gear is for RDM and BLM. DISCUSSION OVER.

[I guess since Blue Mage is more of a melee, they may discuss it's usefulness.]

If whoever has dispel in your put suck in thicket, chance is your acc will be around that. Flash/wind wall/warm up make your acc go down the drain.

Whole set for blm= better dmg than what we have now and thats without the set effect mgc atk bonus and it also includes refresh whats there to discuss... nothing.. like Rocl just stated, back to the melee talk!

Ebody over Ares anyday but thats just me i like my sis kabobs, but thats if you have ebody, like xav said it aint that common.. Im happy Ares is out better than what most of us use, hauby/hauberk plus it takes some pressure off everybody wanting an ebody like i.e Xav likes Ares better than ebody so there should be others that would pass on ebody due to already having Ares and would rather get other gear making everybody happy and overall more gear to go around.

the question about morrigan's gear isn't about how good it is, its about wether the lowly blm should get priority over rdm. and unless that rdm has a dalm already, I say no. and even if the RDM does indeed have a dalm, that RDM should be given an equal chance to lot over the blms, wether they have dalms or no.

I say base it 100% on LS dedication and casting lots since its amazing for all 3 jobs and giving job priority can cause major drama.

Well, the morrigan's set is gonna be great for BLM, but not for HNM. You seem to forget that wearing the whole set you lose a great deal of Elemental magic skill. The whole set has a whopping...yes...0 Elemental skill. Obviously though, I still want every single piece. RDM should probably get dibs on the feet first though. BLU dibs on head piece.

The head is kinda suck, why would BLU want it? The only "noteable" part of it is the magic accuracy, but Nashira Turban also has 5 and doesn't cost 12 o.ingots.

Only thing a BLM would use the boots for would be stoneskin macro.

In a way the Morrigan set sucking makes me happy. It means I'm not pissed off it'll take over a year for me to get a couple peices.
