Quick note:
Bhaflau (Zhayolm in disguise?) boss is exceptionally Thunder resistant, as was mentioned, but he is NOT 100% immune to Stun. He resists it a lot, but it landed a couple of times in the midst of our abortive attempt.

Yes, seemed weak to ice. Paralyze was fairly easy to land and ice spells did ok dmg. Slow wasnt that hard to land either.Originally Posted by Amastacia
Did this the other day, but only got so far as Devilet in Silver Sea Remnants. No drops from normal mobs thus far except cells to unlock the pathos, and temp items.
Last three nights we've done Bhaflau Remnants.
So far drops:
3x Enyo's leggings (war/pld/drg/drg set) one each run.
2x Ho-something hands (mnk/sam/nin/pup) was posted earlier.
1x Njord's trousers (thf/bst/cor/rng)
1x of a blm/blu set but I forget which, I'll try to find out.
1x Bhaflau card, just got it today, so no idea what it does.
Got to say hi to the boss last night, I was weakened and flee'd at him as time expired to get killed againThen tonight we fought him again, 15 people, as thf/nin I didn't have magic, in fact we had 1 brd without magic or range lol Had around 15min to fight it, got him to 56%. He has some nasty AOE's, resisted thunder, ice worked alright, SE kraken is gimped. I'm not sure how, but the drk SE kraken'd and took off around 10% but I don't think it was doing full damage. Might've gotten hit I'll ask him to make sure.
My LS is going to keep repeating this one until we win, going every single night after LS event.
you'lll run out of AP's eventually, you cant do salvage every 24 hrs. its impossible.
Currently I have enough AP's to do 7 more runs without doing any more assault, lol. I might be a bit ahead of the rest of my LS though, I'm the only SM >.>
But if I were to actually do Lamia 13 daily, it'd be a while before I couldn't Salvage lol
You technically could, but only by force-dcing assault for every member..Originally Posted by NynJa

Some patterns developing regarding drops. We got the Morgann Sabots Tier 1 item today in our first run.
Boss has 3 major WS that I can tell:Originally Posted by Eaglestrike
1) some laser shower that does about 350, aoe, and strips shadows + bind
2) another one that does about 250, aoe, and strips shadows + para
3) homing missiles....does like 1000+. Needs to be stunned.
Boss has around 50,000 hp (we did 5300ish dmg and took off 11% with 6), no noticeable auto-regen, though he does regen at 10%/tic when he deaggros and returns to his spawn.
At the last confirmation before entering assault, if you red-dot anyone before confirming, that person will not be taken into assault, and wont factor into points sharing. I havent done it in a long time, but the outcome used to be that for example a SMN soloing assault would get the entire points for 3 people to himself, while the people that force dc'ed didnt use up tags.Originally Posted by Kaylia
It may very well have been fixed, like I said I havent done it in a long time.
That's pretty interesting. Is there any assault that is easily soloable? Only one I can think is sheep, and that "find the spy" thing.
Sorry, I meant to say a SMN soloing Golden Salvage would get points for 3 people - that is one of the easily soloable ones (for smn anyway). Im sure there are other soloable ones, but I am also sure that this would be seen as an exploit of the game mechanics![]()
can solo golden salvage by using the target method. target a chest, ease up to the chest (about 6.0 or a bit less using distance.dll), and click it. It will say "you are not close enough", or whatever...if the chest stays targetted, its mimic, if it deselects, its real.
Edit:
This guys Zhayolm looks totally different than our zhayolm. Maybe it's just my lolcolors, but the zhayolm we did just seemed to be textured totally different.

Long-Bowed Chariot at the end of Bhaflau pretty much ate us straight-tanking. Got a bit better when we started kiting but not by much damage-wise. Straight-tanking might be better with PLDs with the new changes, but we didn't bring any.
Seemed like normal NM resistance when it came to physical attacks (500ish Rampages), seemed weak to ice magic as noted above. Gravity and Bind either didn't land or didn't last long enough to matter. Slow and Paralyze landed pretty easy, but the real danger is in its TP abilites which Paralyze won't stop. We got it down to about 35% before timeout.
One Gear warped on us, but its important to note that we also killed one of the single Gears, 3 of the triple Gears, and a Chariot on the way down. Next run we will try eliminating or warping as many gears as possible to see what, if any, effects it has on the boss.
No armor drops, but we got 3 Bhaflau cards. Unusable, untradeable (Ex). Seems strange to me they'd be Ex and not Rare, as if a person is deliberately supposed to carry more than one. Wafik tried trading one to the armor NPC, did anyone try the Remnants Pass NPC or an appraiser yet?
wonder what that means since we've been doing zhayolm :/- Salvage related issues:
1) Members who were disconnected from the game during a warp to the next floor would not be warped to the destination upon relogging in.
2) Numbers of defeated notorious monsters within the Zhayolm Remnants were not counted properly.
3) Notorious monsters within Bhaflau Remnants would not spawn as expected.
4) Some monsters in Arrapago Remnants would not return to the original positions when they are not in combat mode.
Several people have speculated that killing the NMs weakens the boss ... seems reasonable to me. At the very least, now we have confirmation that killing the NMs is significant in some way.Originally Posted by Slott
