that's odd, we killed second last night but other didn't depop yet the portal still opened up for us so we went up ;x

yeah we had someone sitting at the portal ready to click when it popped. Unless that maint changed it so they don't depop i can't think of another explination other then the last one we killed was the trigger, which is a possibility given the terrible luck my linkshell has.Originally Posted by aznmajiktaru
Actually, that's in the notes for the first floor: it's on the mobs in the very first room of each wing that can drop other cells, as far as we've seen. The mobs in the first room always drop one of each cell, and it's always two mobs that drops them (two apiece) while the other two drop none. For the first floor, in addition to specific cells each mob drops, each type of mob also has the chance of dropping a cell not specific to them.
I'm not totally sure about the fourth floor ramparts, I wasn't there for last night's run when the strange non-depoppings occurred. Though I think Juliano mentioned that he wasn't sure when the portal unlocked because he didn't get there until after the last one died, so it may have unlocked sometime before that.
Thanks, I like them too :DBTW love your sig and avatar ;o so cute
We've tried doing random ramparts twice and both times we had to kill all 4 to get teleported up. Maybe if you pick the correct one right away you get ported but if you choose wrong you have to kill all 4? Anyway, we just send a mage to the porter while others fight the ramparts so we can tele quickly.
er forgot to add, the first time we got to fourth floor we killed the second rampart last but the others didn't depop either when we killed wrong one.
oh man I just relooked at the maps and realized there were two seperate rampart rooms, that might be it then? depending on which side you get maybe it's different. Slott can tell you which port we usually take because I can't remember off the top of my head ;x
First off, thanks for the maps.
We got a Zhayolm Card to drop from a Gears on the sixth floor that was spawned by aggro'ing the Archaic Chariot.
I posted this on KI last night when BG was down, but I'll ask here as well. Has anyone noticed any strange behavior between the gears and the chariot? We killed the chariot outside the huge room on floor 5 and part-way through the fight, some gears came over and started to attack us. Some of us think it's magic aggro, but it seems really unlikely since we didn't move at all throughout the fight and the gears didn't come over till about 50%. I would think they would have aggro'd sooner if that is the case.
Does anyone know if the Chariots summon the gears to help them kind of like how Amaltheia does with the sheep in Lufaise?
Also on our three previous runs, we always got tons of stat cell drops from the third floor mamools. Last night, we got 0 drops. I don't think it was bad luck since we cleared 3 whole rooms and got no drops with a TH4 THF in each of our parties. We thought this was kind of odd.
First 2 runs were 0 drops from the mamools going the northern route. Last night was a disgusting amount of drops going the south side. Each dropped HP, MP, and 1 stat iirc.

I think its name was "Hammerblow Majanun" after looking at the .dat, but I might be wrong.
All the fomor in that room have very low hp, about the same as the first ashu talif bc (700-1000?). We pulled 3-4. I pull another, and 3-4 come, which isnt a problem....followed by everything else in the room. I cant tell you how many we killed, but a good amount before wiping after our mage got hate and died.
I think a blm could wipe about 10-15 at time with thundaga. As for drop rate, it's 50% on 1 chip, but thats not bad considering they die almost instantly
About our ra mparts: I only started running to teleporter when we engaged the last rampart to save some time. When I arrived at the teleporter the rampart was already dead, and I activated it while everyone was fighting rogue marid.
This zone is really puzzling... No freaking clue how to remove the magical seal on the 6th floor door, think we're going to try a cleaner attempt at defeating the chariot next time.
Also sucks to waste so much xp figuring this shit out and nothing in the first six floors drop shit -.-;
Also about the mamools, it's really strange that SE would do this, but it seems that only the southern mamools drop stat cells, while northern ones drop nothing.
Kinda feels like SE left these zones as a half-assed job :/

Npc fellow were also an annoyance more than something useful, but after multiple patch, they are much better.
I expect SE to increase cell drop rate next patch, and do certain minor thing like this that would make those areas more enjoyable
How odd.. ive been in that room twice personally taking the east route that you marked down, and that captain wasnt there either time O_O Going by suirams post on the prior page, he hasnt seen it either and he has gone into that room atleast 4 times so far. I wonder what you are doing differently. We have been killing every mob on the floor apart from the fomor in that last room, but would have noticed an NM in there. The first time we did it, we even kill all the fomor in that room atleast once, before we realised they were respawning.Originally Posted by Kaylia
Did you kill stuff in that room, or skipped them? Is it possible it popped when they all linked?
Yeah, I know, but it's retarded that they just give us stuff that's unfinished. Do we even know if it's possible to get any of the new gear yet? (Meaning confirmation that all 3 of one item drop somewhere)Originally Posted by Kaylia
It's one thing when they release half the content (like releasing the 3 cop dynamis, then tav after) but releasing zones that aren't even complete...
The first time we killed stuff, we didnt know what was happening. All the mobs in that room would have died once though more than likely.Originally Posted by Kaylia
The second time we sneak/invised past them, which is how I know the captain wasnt there. I collected the whole room, as you can see in this screenshot: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b283/ ... waggro.jpg
They follow you around like apkallo with sneak/invis on, but dont aggro.
Edit: I just had a thought... if you gathered all the crew with a sneak/invis'ed person and had 2 blms thundaga3 them, they would definately all die at once.. if that is the way to pop the captain, its probably the easiest way![]()
The first time we did the Silver Sea Remnant, we took the west route and there was a room with 7 crew lined up. We had soemone kite them around the room and we pulled the crew off one by one. When #7 died, a NM popped. I think it was the same NM, I dont have a SS of the name so I dont remember for sure. When we got to that big room we started killing the crew and more waves just kept on spawning so we sent someone across to the porter.
We tried the east side last night. Room with 8 didnt pop anything and the person we sent across the big room didnt say anything about a NM.
Well, just forget what I said about the captain. I think i might be crazy. I could swear one had a different name than "crew" tho, which is why I'm confused.
Gonna check again next time, sorry.
Maybe it's only one side, giving you an option to fight NM or avoid it. I'm thinking there are different mobs/NMs and such depending on the route you take. Hence people seeing different things and what not.Originally Posted by Kilik
We are gonna try to take a RNG tonite and widescan the area, see if anything up and what not. I'll see if one of those rooms is 8 and one is 7. I would assume the missing 8th in the one room is the NM.
I aggroed the chariot on the 6th floor to train it. I knew the gears were going to pop, but I didn't know how the hate would work. I ran upto it flashed the chariot cuz it wouldn't aggro for some reason. When they popped someone voked it off me. Pull went messy, because chgariot stuck with me. Eventually we got the chariot to camp and I aggroed qall the gears. The gears were just sitting there. No aggro whatsoever. I have heard about the amaltheia thing, but the gears popped and just sat there until I aggroed them. SO unless its a special MB ability I am confident in saying they wont all come at you.Originally Posted by Xerlic
The gears do however aggro to magic of any form ninjutsu included and job abilities. From what I can tell.
Pull the chariot to a safe spot where no gears are close so it wont set off the magic or ability aggro and you'll be fine. The safest spot would probably be one of the rooms where the ramperts were imo. The gears were pretty spread out so as long as someone aggroes the ones around where you plan to fight the chariot I see no problem.
Well, I can confirm that different paths hold different things in Silver Sea Remnants on the 2nd floor since
I know the SW path on the 2nd floor just had fomors while the NW path had two demon NMs, one which
dropped like 10 cells and the other which has dropped 1-2 pieces of armor, also...both these NMs take
several minutes to kill.
All i would like to know is if the enemies are scaled or not. My group got Long-Bowed Chariot down to 79% we only had 6 and didn't have a clue. Then i see some cases where a full alliance only got him down to 80ish as well. Hopefully its scaled or else its going to be a sad day in hell trying to find 18ppl regularly to defeat the bosses. Any thoughts on this?
