Hopefully its scaled or else its going to be a sad day in hell trying to find 18ppl regularly to defeat the bosses. Any thoughts on this?

I suppose you'd like SE to just add an NPC that lets you buy a dalmatica for gil then?

I don't really know whether or not these zones are going to turn out better or worse than people's first expectations, but it still seems kind of soon for people to be picking them apart like this when nobody's even defeated the bosses. Anyways I don't see why they'd need to be scaled, I'm sure people will be able to beat them with less than 18 just like pretty much every other mob in the game.

I'm up for a good challenge, but it would be nice for it to be just as challenging for 6 as it is for 18 the entire way through was my point.

But anyway i have to agree that in time it probably won't matter how many you bring anyways.

Welp, we got crap drops off mobs so our run sucked, by the time we got any magic or abilities we had wasted too much time. Our RNG gimped out on us last min too so couldn't widescan areas.

Found Deapan Devilet on second floor tho, NW corner in Silver Sea. Got it to 21% before wipe cause of crappy cell drops previously.

Couple details that we confimed.

Silver Sea First Floor

West NM Fomor Captain after killing 7 Fomor in second to last room.
East No NM, 8 Fomor in second to last room. (before repop room)

Silver Sea Second floor.

NE Formor + Imps
NW Deadpan Devilt (Imp NM)

My group just did Bhaflau.

We made it to last floor but was low on time.

Im really starting to see how hard its going to be to:

1. Get the bare minimum armors/jas/magics/etcs.
2. kill the boss weakening mobs.
3. kill the NMs.
4. kill the boss.
5. And farm a little.

in 100 min. The time limit just makes it crazy hard.

We encountered mad bomber, but he self-destructed.
Archaic Chariot was seen, but we didnt engage due to time.

Trolls are a real time killer.

jesus 4terthtr christ ugh just got outta zhayolm... the fucking archaic chariot on the 6th floor DOES NOT unlock the door. We proceeded to kill ramparts but ran out of time on manticore that spawned but downing both ramparts didn't work either unless manticore had to die as well. Though that was already stated but thought was worth a try ;\. Outta ideas on this one, maybe the gears?

oh side not to foodmonster people, we took the route opposite of yours to port to the fourth floor and it was the second rampart this time as well.

I can easily say this is the most fun I have ever had in this game. Everyone loves salvage (at least in my LS)

we did bhaflau tonight and we got 3 pairs of the blm/rdm/blu shoes and 2 pairs of the thf pants (the names slip me right now cause im so excited to do it again) but overall it was fucking FUNNNNNNNN
we had no idea what to do and we were really disorganized at first but we caught on. Got to the last boss but ran out of time, more after x-mas!

Squeenix knocked it out of the park w/ this. Drops good loot, doesnt take too long, and most of all its FUN

Ok. Here's a wild theory I came up:

Looking at the Wiki, it seems the armors are pretty spread out. Like...

For Ares, Bhalfau drops the lv15 feet and the lv25 head. So you'd have to hit two of the other zones to get the lv25 feet and lv35 feet or the lv15 head and lv35 head.

However, has anyone seen a body piece drop yet? The wiki doesn't have any reports on it, and I haven't read any, so correct me if someone has seen one so far.

My thought is regarding the cards. Lordwafik said when you trade the card you get in a zone to a slot in the same zone, it doesn't work, right? So, what if you trade a card to a slot in a different zone? Perhaps this would spawn an NM that can drop a body piece? Say, a Bhaflau card wouldn't work in Bhaflau, but could spawn NMs in Silver Sea, Zhayolm, and Arrapago.

The system for non-body pieces seems like it would go like this (not specifically, but as a generic example):

lv 15 head ~ zone 1
lv 15 hands ~ zone 2
lv 15 legs ~ zone 3
lv 15 feet ~ zone 4

lv 25 head ~ zone 2
lv 25 hands ~ zone 3
lv 25 legs ~ zone 4
lv 25 feet ~ zone 1

lv 35 head ~ zone 3
lv 35 hands ~ zone 4
lv 35 legs ~ zone 1
lv 35 feet ~ zone 2

so that every zone drops 3 pieces of each set, but never of the same armor slot within the same set. So you'd have to collect items from 3 different zones to upgrade, say, Ares boots (or any other single armor slot), but there'd always be something for your set in every zone.

My theory with the cards breaks down a bit at this point.

I thought perhaps:

lv 15 body ~ zone 1 card in zone 2 slot
lv 25 body ~ zone 1 card in zone 3 slot
lv 35 body ~ zone 1 card in zone 4 slot

However, this doesn't take the different sets into account. Whether or not cards in other zone slots works or not, the idea that it spawns body piece NMs is not self-sustaining as is, since if, for example, the set of armor the body piece is depends on where the card comes from... Then you would only come up with 4 sets.

Of course, there's also the possibility of trading multiple cards into the same slot. They are exclusive, but not rare, unlike, say, Limbus chips.

Silver Seas boss spammed Charm on us -_- Didn't need TP to use the move, just kept using it til we were all dead or charmed.

Has anyone even attempted Arrapago yet? Because we did and I'm convinced that unless SE completely screwed up the zone, there is some major trick to it that we weren't seeing. Mobs drop 0 cells, 1 if you're lucky, and 2 if you're REALLY lucky. We had 14 people. It was an utter waste of time and AP.

We encountered a BLM type Qiqirn mob on the first floor that was most likely an NM since there was only one other Qiqirn mob that we saw in the entire zone. It hit significantly harder than normal first floor mobs and warped at around 60% hp.

Second Qiqirn was 3rd or 4th floor in the teleporter room; it was most likely a THF type. When we aggroed it, it started running away and laying mines. At one point it came back, we fought it for about 10 seconds, and then it ran off again.

Quturbs, Skeletons, and Gespents dropped very little and not often. Lamia and Bhoot dropped cells specific to their job most of the time. We got Enzo's Leggings off an Archaic Rampart on the 4th or 5th floor before time ran out.

Well, today my group got to the Silver Sea Remnants Boss for the first time.

Setup was: NIN,WAR,MNKx3,THF,BLM,RDM,BRDx2,WHM

Its name is Long-Armed Chariot and spams Charm as mentioned in one of the earlier posts. We started
the fight with only 7 minutes left so we opened with 2 mnks hundred fisting and me chain nuking and
got it to about 70% before I grabbed hate and then it promptly charmed me and the mages which left a couple
melee dead but not too bad off, our 4th mnk who was weak when we started then jumped in and hundred fisted
and then was promptly charmed and raped a few mages before was uncharmed...then him a remaining war
duoed until about 44% and we were kicked.

All and all he wasn't that strong...one AoE move that did like 200-300ish dmg was the only real threat...but the constant
charming is what makes him difficult....here's a couple screenies of the fight.
