I walked into the zone, everone said "stand here, the tree is about to pop"

Then bam pop and cheerfest 2006. Then everyone was yelling "Go get presents and find the imposter"

Ill get some less vague, details on the event in a second...

So the tree pops and you cheer it on. Ive done this twice now and it loses HP. When it arrived @ the center of the town it was @ 58% and vanished (twice so far). Aterwards you talk to the NPC that ands out presents and he asks you to find an imposter. Everyone runs around and talks to the NPCs in the santa hats. One is an imposter. A moogle pops out when ou find the right one and vanishes. When you go back to the NPC you are rewarded.

Smilebringers appear in the following locations:

* Bastok Markets (G-9)
* Northern San d'Oria (I/J-9)
* Windurst Woods (H-11)


The Smilebringer only appears when the Twinkling Treant reaches that area of the city, you have to cheer the Treant on so that the Moogle can't chase it out of town. The Treants appear at the South Gustaberg entrance to Bastok Markets, the West Ronfaure entrance to Northen San d'Oria, and the Windurst Walls entrance to Windurst Woods.

If you cheered on the Treant, when you can talk to the Smilebringer he/she will ask you to find an impostor wearing a Dream Cap. Generally, impostors seem to be shop or auction house delivery NPCs, when you talk to the impostor a fake Moogle will warp away, you can then return to the Smilebringer for a reward. The first time you find the impostor you will get furniture specific to that city (Dream Coffer- Bastok, Dream Platter- San d'Oria, Dream Stocking- Windurst), the second time you will get a Dream Robe, and if you are wearing a Dream Robe you will get a Dream Robe +1. When you have the city item and both robes you will get fireworks, for example: Brilliant Snow.

If you did not cheer on the Treant or once you found the impostor, the Smilebringer will give you a present to give to the kids trading a present will give you Smilebringer fame that will allow you to teleport to other nations to give presents to more kids and find the impostors. Trading fireworks to kids will also give you Smilebringer fame.

This year trees, fireworks, and Dream Hats are sold from Moogle vendors in the following locations:

* Port Bastok (L-8)
* Northern San d'Oria (D-8)
* Windurst Waters (G-10)
