Friend didn't tell me much, just that they had a PLD/WAR with Aegis straight tank it, from what I got from the conversation HomingMissile was the only thing that makes the mob hard. They didn't kill any NMs also.

700+ dmg aoe + hate reset...

My only encounter with LBC lasted 10 seconds before we got spat out, so i never got to do any testing myself except for learning that it hits like a semi truck

Is Homing Missile hate reset for everyone in range or just the person that it's targeted on? in either case, i'd like to think that having 2 PLD/WARs might work on this....one PLD/WAR just sit outside AoE range and when Homing Missile hits, he immediately runs in and tries to grab hate while the PLD/WAR who just got hit with hate-reset runs outside of AoE range and waits for AoE again, then repeat the process every time AoE gets used. This could also be done by NIN/DRK or NIN/BRD since they could reach extreme hate levels fairly quickly like PLD/WAR can in about 5-10 seconds of using all their JAs (excluding Invincible). PLD/NIN would also work with higher Enmity, and probably better than PLD/WARs if they're good.

another question is if shadows absorb it or not, this is probably a retarded question and im guessing "no" but i'd like to know for sure anyways lol

Hmmmm this is the second known death of it, and the second strat that requires PLDs.

Seems like I'm going to have to change my strat around on this

It seems to me that the only point of the named NMs with specific pop conditions is dropping a certain level 15 armor 100% of the time. I don't have a full list complied or anything but the notable ones that come to mind are Anu's Gages off of Gyroscopic Gears. We also go the MNK/SAM/NIN pants off of the NM fomor on the second floor of Silver Seas earlier today (Powderkeg Yanadahn).

assuming you meant the lv.15 pants based on you saying you only get the lv.15 stuff.

My group did get a lv.35 armor off Dekka on our 2nd try so it may turn out the NMs also drop a
2nd piece, only just not very often.

is it possible for people to start putting WHERE they killed the NMs or if you had to clear a certain amount of mobs for it to pop. Saying things like "killed an NM on the first floor which droped xxxxx" is nice and all but since everyone starts out with a map, the POS would be nice.

Dekka is Floor 2 Silver Sea Remants in the big NW room (G-7) on your map, he is already up and drops Njord's and Enlil's feet armors. Njord's feet have dropped both times my group has killed him while Enlil's has dropped only once.
