About why the ring fell -

As 11 drops enter the pool, they have to do it one at a time. As soon as the 11th item enters, the lowest priority item from top to bottom is randomly distributed. Rare takes priority over normal items, so it went to the 2nd item.

Judging by how many noted cases of BC runs:Kraken drops there have been since the update, I think it's safe to assume you forgot a 0.

I can't help but shake this feeling that SE gimped the hell out of the drop rate because they knew everyone and their mother would go hit this BC asap. I also can't help but think that in like 3 months, when almost everyone is out of seals, and the BC is done only rarely because the drop rate simply isn't worth it that they'll up it to something more like PCC BC.

Yea yea, I know, it's nuts but it does mean that the number of krakens appear on the server in a given amount of time, kind of. Perhaps it's just my rationalization to sit on my seals for the time being.

Sit on your seals if you want, but with this deflation... everything worth doing in BC40 is broken to all hell.. might as well fling them at the chance of getting a K Club.

I don't disbelieve that it's there, but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that maintenance really happened.

It's most likely there, with a shitty beyond belief drop rate. The point of the whole change would be to make it accessable to everyone, but keep the rareness of the item around where it used to be. Though I also would not be surprised if SE messed something up.
