Kraken Club Update

If I were a DRK, if i needed to souleater 2hr with a kraken I'd simply borrow one instead of wasting seals/money trying to get something that is only useful to me every 2 hours.

A) Not everyone is willing to lend them.
B) Using healers its useful every 5 minutes.

Alright, I'll add DRK (if you dont mind wasting a WHM's MP so you can flex your e-penis) to my above list.

EDIT: I didn't realize that it was such a secret that a kraken isn't as good an item as people make it out to be, people are grumpy today!

172 MP for two Cure IV's (IV is 88mp right?)

That should cover four rounds with Souleater up, roughly 20 seconds.

172 MP for 200 x 4 - 32 = 800 - 6400 damage is probably worth the MP loss - depending on the situation it's used in.

EDIT to Dowser: Yeah, depending on the situation its used in. So, taking away your standard merit parties (dmg isnt worth it at the cost of RDM's MP) and your mobs that react violently to a lot of TP (CoP wyrms, Cerberus, Khimera, Fafnir ect) that leaves... what? Dynamis mobs?

Again, maybe its just my LS or something, but for the once every month or two we get to fight those things, its not a problem to get someone to loan theirs.

Anyway, there's no doubt kraken club has situations where it's great, I just think it's getting overhyped simply because of its rarity before the patch. (Hell it still might be rare, who knows)

I always found club fun on... everything. Even with mobs that react violently, taking a solid 10%+ off them pretty much instantly is nice. As long as you can handle the repercussion of doing so, why the fuck not.

Yeah there's way more hype than it being a practical weapon. I still wish it were Rare/Ex and for DRK only. (I have tried it with Warrior and Ranger)

I dont know how much more the price can go down with it being as hard to get as it is, and how many seals you need to throw away.

It's obviously dropping in price because of deflation and will continue too a bit longer, but I dont think that it will go down even further after the deflation slows/stops. It's almost easier to use the seals on other bc's and buy a club with the money.

Average hit is about 140 with good HP and SE gear. Average of 4.5 hits per attack round, at a delay of 2.64 seconds. So 630 damage per attack round x 17 (assuming all your hits land) is an average potential of 10,710 damage per attack round total. Tiamat has, what, 100k hp? Ten attack rounds... 26.4 seconds... yeah, 25 seconds is a good estimate =P

Of course, I don't know the reality of the situation there, and you'd have to make sure he doesn't fly in the middle of it.

A drk who can get kraken club should be able to get some decent/cheap/free[BQ ring etc)/af head hp gear/food combo for kraken 2h 200~ is not hard to reach every hit

Also drks can get haste gear/haste/marchX2 you know so lower that delay alot then add some luck factor ( alot of 8hits kraken ;p) and you get sick numbers


This drk doin +400 a hit and he is an elv of course he is using giant drk (HP2x) what funny is giant drink is common from chests at salvage too lol
