Better than having it drop Tsukikazu Togis constantly.

We've got 3 of them back-to-back xD It doesn't like dropping Ares for us though =/Originally Posted by Thefrost
I'm sure this has been asked already but I couldn't find with a quick search: when going for boss do most groups pop 3FS for the extra hp and mp? or is bringing a thief enough to get the hp and mp you'll need?
we have 8-10 people most nights, as reference.
This is correct.Originally Posted by cdgreguh

Fraudopedia is full of bunk info.
Well the idea was to aim for the 6th floor because we have someone who wants the marduk head and as they've been to a lot of our runs and we'd take in a few other NMs on the way we thought we'd try for it.Originally Posted by mackerel
Run was a mess. MNK was not on (sick) and a couple of other players didn't show. We decided to try it to see how rough popping the gent was and it just was taking far too long. So I guess next time we just skip it and farm cells like crazy and go for 5FN as it has nicer toys as well.
We dropped the idea of 6f froggy and popped anything else we could.
Was a bit of a disappointment after the run before.
1F NM is too hard to pop, even if you have many monks. Whatever you do, it will always be faster to clear 3FS (10-15minutes only with 3 dds) than clear puk wing without cells.
My group isn't godly equiped or anything, but with only 6 people ( mnk sam cor whm thf drk) we did 3Fs+5FN+6F with 15 minutes to spare after killing 6F. And that was because 6F madamme spamed charm, since we arrived on 6F with 35 left. We have the thief kite the madames when everyone else is charmed, works well on 5f, skadi feet and hide/flee make it really easy to kite, and avoid accidental regen.
Some groups are maxed on Zhayolm 25, so it's better for them to opt for the 1F + 2F + 3F + 5F + 6F runs and forego the boss so you don't waste a run getting 4F 15 you may need.
How do groups do 35s and boss in same run? :/ Bring a bunch of mnk's and split up or something? We usually only have about 15 min left after 6F Madame and I don't know how we can speed it up more.
Don't bring more than 6-8 people
or let players 9+ know upfront that they're just there to absorb discoid hits and better bring an inventory full of potions and leave their gear at home.Originally Posted by Julian
Ten people, three fully unlocked.
5N Poroggo no-show...
The only oddity about it was there was earth weather at the time... possibly another spawn condition?

Or which do you think is the case:
1. Someone forgot to mention they missed something, lost a cell, or used while paralyzed, and then didnt want to admit it when everyone was trying to figure out what was wrong.
2. There is some secret glitch in the game that only happens 1/1000 times to a special group of 10 preventing the madame from popping.
I will leave which option is more likely up to you.

8 min on 3rd floor (usually takes this long to get everyone full unlocked, sometimes less).
5 min on 4th floor to sneak/inv and kill rampart.
10-15 min on 5th floor to get past gears, get ready, and kill madame, depending on how charm spammy she wants to be (last time we didnt get charmed once, time before it charmed EVERY tp move).
That leaves 40 min to clear 6th floor and kill boss.
My group can do 5FN madame + boss runs rather easily, but we are always close on time and that is with doing everything perfect and not wasting a second. I am not sure how some would do 5FN and 6FN and boss, but perhaps they are willing to share their strat. The extra time of killing the needed NMs to pop 6FN and actually killing that NM would leave us with not enough time.
Any group here actually do both and boss regularly?
We compared screenshots. All of us were unlocked. Thanks for playing.Originally Posted by Neosutra

You can use a cell right in the madame room and it will still pop.
And show the SSs. Your not special and neither is your group. Someone forgot something and didnt tell.
Proven by my group yesterday. You can use a cell right in the madame room and it will still pop.
MNK didn't use INT as it turned out but its his first time doing the madames with us so all is good.
MP is easily missed as well since melees don't usually lot them and usually not supposed to.
I'm incredibly paranoid about people really being fully unlocked. I double-check with them periodically (which may annoy them, but whatever, 5FN not being popped would be more annoying). After we kill the VIT and MND mamools on the 3rd floor, I verify that "You have no purple shit on your screen, right?" Of course, this leads to some wiseass making a comment about our linkpearl, which is purple, but it gets the job done.
As for NMs + boss, I don't know. I suspect people that can do it will just say "kill faster". We generally have about 10 minutes left after 5FN and 6F madames.
there's no sure fire way to hit all nms plus boss, just gotta fight as efficiently as possible and get lucky on frog tp moves
