    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Well, we tried the 1f madame tonight and failed to pop it.

    Edit: we cleared Ziz wing.

Having not read up on the latest in the thread (let that be a lesson!) we slept the Gent at 5% and everyone but our full-pathos thf logged. Thf killed, we logged back in, no frog. We then _afterward_ opened the door to the 1f porter, still no frog. Thf then used cells and we moved on.

(no drops from 5f/6f, and no time for boss since we had to do 3fs along with 1f

To groups that popped the frog: did you open the door before or after fighting the frog? Who opened the door? Did your other members log back in before, or after madame claim? When did you reform party/alliance?

Looking forward to trying this again now that we know not to waste time sleeping frog.

First run, 4 of us used cells, one didn't. We slept frog at 5%, all logged out except MNK, who ran back to chest area, AIMed me that frog was up, I AIMed everyone else to log back in, he used cells and invited us (he had gotten party leader flag when we all logged).

Second run, 5 of us used cells, one didn't. We killed frog, then all logged out again except MNK, who again ran back to the chest area. He AIMed me again it was up and started using cells as we logged back in, and again he reinvited us all. We'd entered on lightningsday so we only had the two MNKs on it to keep TP to a minimum, THF ran to portal and opened door and waited while they killed it.

Are you 100% sure your THF didn't use a single cell? Was there ever a point where every person was logged out except the THF (again this might not be necessary)? Did you kill the mamool? Did you check the chest area? (I think some people may assume it pops where gent dies.) That's all I can think of.

can also verify that this works (have done both the 5% sleep and the kill gent then log method). i'm pretty sure the previous poster just doesn't know where madame pops since they keep mentioning the door.

on a side note, does the Gent count as a NM for popping 6f? or only the Madame?

Could someone clarify the 1F Madame pop conditions?

I thought the pop conditions were to clear a wing, and kill the Poroggo Gent without using a cell - but it seems something else has been figured out... I skimmed the last few pages and couldn't pinpoint exactly what it is... what's the logout trick I heard about?

And Jakko only needs to be popped, not killed? Is this confirmed?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. You want someone to reiterate what was written on the last page and a half so you that you don't have to actually read it? What assurances do we have that you'll actually read what is written now, rather than just skimming it and asking someone to paraphrase that as well? It's not like it's even buried in the middle of the thread, it's all from the last few days of posts.

As for stuff that is buried in the middle of the thread, yes you don't have to kill Jakko, popping it is sufficient. However the other NMs that count toward 6F pop need to actually be killed it would seem.

I worded it poorly - I was just unclear on the "logout trick".

1: Can you kill the Gent with a partially unlocked person, and have them logout to pop the Madame.

2: Once the Madame is popped, can you use cells before you kill it?

    1. Killing Gent with 5 partially unlocked people and 1 fully locked person, then having the 5 partial unlocked people log out was sufficient to pop the Madame. The question remains if logging out was even necessary, but haven't done Zhayolm since that most recent run to check.

    2. Yes.

    2. Yes.
Logging out is necessary. We did it today, and our fully locked person arrived @ where it pops before we were fully logged out.

We simply had everyone press logout at the same in-game time, then log back in right away, so we didn't waste anytime waiting for anyone to confirm it was up through AIM or anything. Popped, killed, got Nemain's Cuffs - the only lv35 we have that's actually waiting on a lv15. It was awesome.

I'm not sure how much time we saved, if any, cuz we went with 2 melee 4 mages instead of 3/3, and no WHM while doing Ziz wing, so were pretty slow (SMN BRD BLM RDM MNK THF). It didn't help that our fully locked person was our BRD, because her husband had issues with logging out earlier and couldn't get back on, so she was afraid to log out at all.

Also, I saved my MP cell for 5FN, since I was on THF. I sac'd the first room to let everyone by, and unfortunately didn't quite shake all the gears before I ran out of room. So I died, 2 people alive fully unlocked and me dead just missing MP. I was surprised to find out that my pathos icon was still there, and someone in this thread made it sound like the pathos disappeared when dead and reappeared when alive. Madame didn't pop until I got raised and used my MP cell.

Given this, it appears the everyone alive check on 1F is simply that. An everyone alive check. Not a side effect.

Ended up getting skadi legs from 5FN and nothing from 6F. They got trashed basically (our BRD got them in case they level THF beyond 60, which they doubt). Everyone else has them already, who has THF leveled.

2 Ares feet, 1 Tiara, 2 Morrigans, 2 Marduk body, 4-5 Skadi legs, 2 Usukane gloves. Ours are much more evened out, except I wish a few more Tiaras would drop...

3 Morrigan's Feet, 1 Marduk Head, 1 Usukane Hands, 3 Ares's Feet, and 5 Skadi Legs. We need more Usukane ~.~ The only time something besides Skadi dropped, it dropped Skadi AND Usukane.

No, I can see why you'd think that though. We know where it pops (at least theoretically since we've never seen it) and it wasn't there. We actually searched the entire floor pretty well, since we didn't find it up... Anyway the reason I mention the door is to try and determine if opening the door at the end of a wing is part of the trigger to pop the NM. That's pretty common in other zones, but seems like it isn't the case here.

So it's possible the frog popped and then depopped before we arrived, but nobody else on this thread has reported seeing it depop. It's also possible that our first person was back in too soon before the check happened. Our thf reported only about 5-10 secs after the gent died before the first person popped again, perhaps this was too little time. I'm gonna chalk it up to bad luck, and next time this new information will give us a more reliable shot at it. Having everyone hit /logout sync'd to game clock after we're in position sounds like the right idea. Thanks! ^^

    We didn't open the door.

And I logged out, then logged on to my mule and sent the person in charge of killing the Madame a /tell saying to tell me when the Madame died. He said it was dead, and I logged in again immediately. The entire process took maybe 20 sec at the most, and I doubt I was the last person to log off.

Just thought I'd say we did this and it worked perfectly fine. Cleared first four rooms, then cleared the puk rooms, and gent, had everyone log out, timed like suggested here, and logged back in immediately. Worked great :D Nemain's Cuffs from the madame.

Oh and we didn't open the door if that helps whoever was asking.

Wow nice. We have had absolutely terrible luck with that frog, I think we are around 1/20+ on Marduk, 0/20+ on Morrigans and 0/20+ on Ares.

When we logged out sync'd to clock I told everyone to log back in as soon as it lets you, so everyone was back in within about 15 seconds max, and that's only due to load times. I was first back in about 10 seconds after I logged out (15-20 when I loaded on my screen, but the person left in there saw me about 10sec later). It popped just fine.

We didn't open the door either. I'd even go as far as to guess that opening the door might prevent the pop, as everyone else here seems to have left the door closed.

Need more Pigaches/Tiaras Only Tiara went freelot as all the main lots couldn't attend -.-

Last 4-5 Frog runs have dropped something for us (2 runs both 5F and 6F dropped). 3 runs in a row dropped our Skadi.
