We usually just have a THF Perfect Dodge, aggro the entire first gear room... then have a BLM ES-Sleepga II the gears while we all run to the Madame. The THF and BLM both logout safely (near us), and we fight the Madame in that hallway.

Only 6F and the ones that assist the 5F chariot are completely immune.
Usually when our group does 5F Madame, I (as the thf) just round up the gears with PD and wait for everyone to get by to the madame and die in the hall. Get my RR, start poppin the Madame with sleep bolts out of range and kite if people get charmed and they charge me. When it's dead, I flee toward the porter with AF1 boots and pop on the striders while a rdm with w. legs follows in tow. 98% of the time I make it to the porter without getting touched and port up just fine, but if not the rdm can port up while I die.
And just a fyi incase it's never been mentioned (sorry if it has;Originally Posted by Lilswitche

How long does it normally take people to farm the 1F and kill the Gent + Madame? Usually I enter with a group of 8-10 people, so it usually means I'll have to farm an extra room of every mob and clear the entire Ziz wing. Even if we enter with a lower number it still means we farm an extra SJ or Ability Room, and the floor takes up almost 35min. Is there a way to speed things up? It's gotten to the point where farming the entire 3F is much faster than doing the 1F for some reason. We manage to clear the big room of Mamool very quickly since everyone is almost fully unlocked.
Normally on 1F we'll farm the 1st Puk room, 1st Ziz room, 2 rooms of Raptors and Bugards if we need to. If we have less people we'll just farm the 4 inner rooms and move on to clearing the Ziz wing.
I no longer think it's that hard to get 4FN madame in the same run as 5FN and 6F. Finished my Usukane Feet but got no drops off 5F or 6F, and the boss crackwhored us. Twice.
We entered on Lightningsday so we weren't able to stun charm at all. 1 Charm on 2F wasted 1min, no MP from start chest either. Ended up having 1min to spare by the time we got 5 MP (one for RDM and WHM each and one for each melee for unlocks). We repeated the 4th floor a couple time for stats, took longer than I wanted, but still ended up with 4-5min left when we finished.
Ridill helped, I'm sure.![]()
Just don't farm stuffs you do not need, thats a rule in salvage~Originally Posted by Crizto
The four inner room + chest are sufficient for anything in this salvage. You will get 5 SJ, 5 abi and 6 magic OR 6 abi and 5 magic.
If you get 2 abi in starting chest then you keep the 2 last magics for dup, else you dup the abilities. If you get screwed on range and ring on 2F dup them instead.
We have people in 2nd pt all come as DD OR all come as mages ( except thf). Then all they'll need is weapon or magic, and we clear the appropriate wing on 1F. People in the second pt don't need ability or SJ, reason being that with 3DDs+THF, mobs on 3f already die in less that 20 seconds, and also that if you do 1f frog, people in 2nd pt wont be meleeing on 6F due to not having HP cells.
35 min is too much on 1F. A good time is ~20 minutes, thats what it takes us when we are fast:
-clear 4 inner rooms ( 8-10min).
-kill mamoolja.
-kill all puks ( or all ziz), and gent. Someone (a mage in PT2) don't use any cell.(5-6min)
-all type /logout at a given time, and log back 10 sec after. Madamme pops instantly when the last person has loged out ( confirmed myself).
-2 melee+whm brd do the Madamme; while they are at it the 3rd DD and rdm go kill a few other mobs for extra abil/SJ/magic, but that part isn't needed. Warp when madamme is dead.
My group clears the 4 inner rooms and usually 1 additional pull from another room if we need another magic, and zone up in 10-11 minutes. The mobs on this floor have no HP, and if you determine what cells you -need-, you will save the majority of your time in this zone on this floor.
Timeline for double madame + boss fight (5th floor + 6th floor).
Party of 6, mnk mnk thf brd brd rdm
1st floor: Clear 4 inner rooms, one of the brds head to NE portal when we are starting the 3rd room, zone up after around 10 min on first floor.
2nd floor: Pull the lizards and have your brd keep them coming, not a second of down time. Kill mamool, Kill slot madame, move to each other wing and pull 2 cell dropping mobs from each wing to get members unlocked. Pop/kill jakko.
Zone up to 3rd floor with 70 min left.
3rd floor: Clear the west wing.
4th floor: Kill rampart and zone.
5th floor: Kill madame and zone.
6th floor: Kill madame and pop chariot/gears. Pull gears with lightning speed and bind them near melee since they cant sleep. 6th floor madame + all the gears should take 15-17 min if the madame isnt charm spammy.
Boss: Start off with soul voice minuet and march, troubader the songs again to ensure you have both songs Soul Voice for most of the fight. H
I don't understand how do you manage doing the boss with 6 persons. How do you deal with discoid doing ~700 damages to each person of the party?
Discoid base damage is 4400 / (number of targets), but it's also magic damage. Let's assume you have a RDM but no WHM, so you only get shell 4.
4400/6 = 733 (hitting 6 targets)
733 * 200/256 = 572 (shell 4)
So at most people should be taking around 572 damage (might be +/- 1~2 because it seems to split the damage weird sometimes). Then consider that half those people will have stoneskin up, so even if they aren't at SS cap they should still only be taking around 250~300 damage. It's nice to have more than just 1 healer + brd though, to toss out curagas after. We usually go MNK MNK BLU THF RDM BRD, so I take care of that (as well as diamonhide on everyone, which helps). You could also have your THF sub WHM, it's more helpful that you might think. Or if you can go with RDM WHM BRD or RDM SCH BRD or SCH WHM BRD backline etc, all the better. If you go with BLM you can have them watch to stun discoid, and toss out curagas if one gets through, and otherwise nuke when timer is down.
The point is, keep everyone shelled, have a few people who can curaga, tanks turn if he does them back-to-back so you can recover a bit, and you should be fine. Easiest boss in my view.
Are you able to Stun Discoid?
Yes, but it resist at time on blm, and it's not always easy with chat lag. Best way imo is to turn if mp got low. Holding an elegy/slow chariot is a joke if you dont give it tp.
I've never seen it resist BLM stun, and it's quite easy to stun with the chat log... <_< It's a slow move.Originally Posted by Kaylia

Yea naked. Never seen him resist on this chariot.Originally Posted by Kaylia

Healing Breeze works wonders too.
With Healing Breeze, curaga's from BRD and THF accomplice, there's no problem for RDM/WHM as main healer throughout the battle (we don't bring WHM).
RDM/WHM BRD/WHM COR/WHM = Near unlimited MP on regular equipment + 3 x Curaga/Paralya
And first constructive, non bragging post I see from Wop. Kudos to you.
