I haven't seen it mentioned, but have anyone tried popping the 4th floor poroggo madame by killing everything on 4th floor and not kill anything except the rampart on third floor north?

Can anyone offer estimated drop rates for the card items in this zone?

Our group went the other night and killed:

3rd Floor: 1 rampart
4th Floor: 4 ramparts
5th Floor: 1 rampart and 12 gears

No cards dropped, are these the right mobs?

My group got 3 Zhay cards. One was from the lvl 3 rampart in the north. Another was from the lvl4 rampart (#3 I think), and another from one of the gears upstairs. We got those cards over the course of 2 runs. The run we got the #3 and from the gears on the 5th floor we went south, and we cleared the entire 5th floor and only got one up there.

Oh, also, just an idea but would it be possible, since these are like the "official" threads, to like sticky them, or maybe sticky 1 thread with links to all four or something?

I didn't see any mention of anyone seeing Slime Mold here yet and if I overlooked it and this is old, i'm sorry.

We did Zhayolm Remnants yesterday with a small group and we did encounter Slime Mold.

All I can remember doing is on the third floor We engaged the rampart and after it summoned a tiger we stopped dmg on the rampart and killed the tiger waiting for something else to happen then continued to kill the rampart. On the next floor we just killed the 4 ramparts in no particular order; none depopped. On the 5th floor, I don't remember the POS on the map but it's the room with 3 Ramparts. We engaged and killed the first one on the left, didn't pop anything. Then we killed the one on the right didn't pop anything but did drop the z. card. Then we engaged the center rampart and got it to 40ish% and it popped out a slime mold. This was only a farming/exploring run, but we left the rampart up just in case it summoned something else. The slime mold hit very hard with 500+ fluid tosses (which is was spamming) on me (nin/war almost fully geared), it totally destroyed our blms so we only had a mnk nin and blu on it. After blms died we managed to get it down to 13% but we wiped/ran out of time. Anyone have any other information on this thing?

The Slime mold is summoned by the Ramparts on 5th Floor south side. There's 3 ramparts in the dead-end room. The last time we went there, 2 of the ramparts summoned slimes (the middle and right ones). We timed out before killing either of the slimes.

Cleared entire 5th floor just now with 6 people - all ramparts, gears, the chariot as well. This was on the south side of the 5th floor. No NM popped after everything died.

Either the NM pops from rampart or there is a special order/condition to popping it.

Is it possible that the Poroggo Madame is actually summoned by the rampart?

Well if you look at the .dats provided on page 2, it looks like there are x20 archaic gears above the 2 NMs in the .dat files. We were hoping that if the NM didnt pop, maybe some gears would but no luck.

I have a feeling you have to somehow pop some gears then kill those and the NM pops.

Oh yea for our run, the "South Rampart" (the one that is supposed to summon the tiger) didn't get to use re-enforcements. So maybe we should have let it pop the tiger.

Okay, so we did a run tonight with the objective of getting to the boss with enough time to find out what the English name of his 3000 damage move is, and whether it's stunnable. Sadly, we only reached him with 2 min left, and rushed him down to 90% before we got kicked out, so he didn't get to use his special move, but the other BLM did stun him randomly and it didn't resist.

A few things I noticed, however. The last time we did the zone, we took the north path for the 3rd/4th floors. The first rampart we killed on 4th floor, my magic did typical damage to it, and it teleported us back. The second one was the correct rampart, and I noticed that my spell did 0 damage to it. Today we took the south path, and the first rampart we pulled my spell did 0 damage as well, and when I ran to the teleporter as they were killing a second Rampart, the porter was open and took us to the fifth floor. So you definitely don't need to clear all 4 ramparts on the south path to open the portal. My guess is the 'correct rampart' in either path will take 0 magic damage.

On the 6th floor we cleared about half the 3-gears, then the two 1-gears, then the rest of the 3-gears, and then the chariot. Once the chariot died, the door opened to the portal room. We didn't touch either rampart, so you definitely don't have to clear the entire floor. Just based on the way they pop, my guess is going to be that you actually only need to kill the two single gear and the chariot to open, but that's honestly complete speculation.

That's about all I can think of. We had 11 people, PLD BRD WHM RNG RDMx2 MNKx3 BLMx2. If you don't have to clear all the 3-gear on the sixth floor it should definitely be possible to get to the Boss in time for a solid attempt to beat it, especially with a couple more people. If you do have to clear all the 3-gear, well, it should prove difficult for any sized group.

We didn't touch anything on the 5th floor. The portal was already open. The sixth floor however you do have to kill the chariot to open the portal, the only thing I'm unsure of is if it's necessary to kill all of the 3-gear and 1-gear as well.

In an attempt to try to find more Poroggo Madames we went to the North part of the 4th floor. We killed all the Poroggo Gents, at least one of which dropped just an Undulatus Cell. We then killed all the mamools and nothing popped.

We went up on the SE side going from the first to second floor, so we tried pulling the First Rampart which was the SE one. It turned out to be the wrong one, so we got sent to the start of the floor again. We were timing out at that point, but I ran back to the Poroggo Gent room, and it was full of Gents again and no Madames.

Someone needs to figure out how to end that sausage fest.

My only other guess is that you need to pull the correct rampart and clear the floor. So you would want to go for the rampart first.

What was the verdict on reaching boss floor? Is it:

Chariot > Ramparts > Gears
Chariot > Ramparts
Ramparts only

for unlocking the door to 7F

Read Suiram's post a few posts up. At most you need to kill all the gears and the chariot. And it's possible that you only need to kill the chariot and some of the gears.

The wiki doesn't say anything about Poroggo Madames on any floor except the third. Have the other ones just never been discovered how to pop them? Has anyone ever cleared every mob on 1F?
