Only time we tried the first floor frog we got usukane boots 15
I'm thinking the drop rate is fairly high for at least 1 piece. I wonder if anyone has gotten more than just one 15 off him yet.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Pulled off our first 1>5>6>boss run last night, to much rejoicing by the group. Any tips on how to do it consistently? Generally we've only had 10~15 minutes left in the zone after killing 6F, which barely leaves us enough time for the 6F chariot, let alone the rest of the room+boss. Did nothing different this time, just seemed the group was firing on all cylinders.

Also, when we finally get the 1F to drop Sune-Ate 15, would it be quicker to do 1F or 3F? We've lately been going with 6 or 7, MNK WAR THF BRD RDM WHM (BRD), so we're usually good to exit the floor after either the inner rooms or one extra Ziz room. Cleared 1F in 23 minutes yesterday, usually takes us ~30 for whatever reason.

Couldn't tell you. We're still burning the last 7 of the 15 SSR cards we had. I would assume, though, that your only option is to add 3F onto it...which takes a while. Other option is to do 4FS if you're still under the time, but that screws you out of 5FN, so it's only viable if you don't need anything from that frog.

    Just go 1st, 2nd socket, 3rd S, 5th N, 6.

I will have to admit that it will be fairly difficult to do this run and have enough time to clear 6th floor and the boss.

Yea, sorry, if you don't want to do boss, 1>2>3s (port N)>5N>6 should be pretty easily doable. I was assuming you meant 1>5>6>boss.

We have whoever was locked bring the Madame through the 1F hallway while we're regrouping, and then either our THF or BRD head toward the 1F exit when the Madame is low. On 2F you can either have MNK+RDM duo or have your puller start bringing lizards into the room while you're fighting the Madame. 3F just send your THF to the North portal while you fight the Madame, since TH doesn't matter on it. 5F have the THF plink the Madame for TH and then head to the center to port as soon as it's dead. Having someone at the portals already when the Madames die saves a good few minutes.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

    Quick question:

    Suiram posted:
2F: Clear NE wing. In the other rooms, kill 1-2 mobs from the group of 3 that has 2 droppers (far right corner of each room) until you get 2 equip cells, one for each tank.
    A different guide says
Go to the southwest room, invis past the Wyverns at the entrance, and kill the Wyverns on the left side of the room to unlock legs on the Pathos people.
Go to the northwest room. Again invis past the Wyverns at the entrance and kill the ones on the left side of the room. Send someone back to the teleporter. Sleep any Wyverns by the Slot and pop the Slot NM Jakko.
I also read this on BG wiki but we rarely if ever have a rng
The Wyvern that drop cells will always be 1, 3, 6 and 7 on Widescan.
The Draco Lizard that drop cells will always be 1, 4, 6 and 7 on Widescan.
All that quoting is fancy talk for which group should we target, or doesnt it matter once we invis past the wyverns in the front of the room. The group in the back near the LEFT wall or the group towards the RIGHT wall?

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Think Suiram had a typo there

The group of 3 with 2 droppers is always in the far left corner of the group when you walk into it. Only 3 mobs anyway so having a ranger or not isn't really important.

Of course, if you have a ranger, you can probably get all 8 cells by spending just a little bit more time. Maybe have your thf/rng and give him a SJ on 1st floor. Nowadays my group farms for everyone everything on 1F, be it 6 man or 10 man, and we still have time left over for the frogs and boss.

If you have more than 6 people, you can split up the group to farm on 1F. RDM, BLU, MNK can solo anything (Ziz included), though I prefer duo on Ziz in case of petrify. I usually have the extra (side party) farm weapons/magic, a fully unlocked mnk solo raptors, and everyone else hit the Bugards. Then clear the side that is most empty (usually Bugard) to pop 1F Madame. We usually pop 1F Madame by 25 min in with everyone fully unlocked by then. (Fully unlocked as in Weapon/SJ/Magic/Ability) You will get back the time spent on extra cells later.

We usually go with a RDM/DRK to CS stun 5F Madame while BRD SV and MNK HF to speed up the kill. Little space to kite there so more prone to accidents.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

There was a .DAT posted a while ago with mob names edited based on what drops and what doesn't for floors 1 & 2. It's helped my group out tremendously on Zhayolm.

    Found it, here it is!

Edit: Forums won't let me post it, let me find a place to host it.

    Where is it

Btw are you referring to this one? I noticed Wizerd replied and said it wasn't complete unless it has been updated.

thats the file that marks all the cell dropping mobs on 1st and 2nd floor.
all mobs should be named correctly except for maybe 1-2 lizards on 2nd floor but we never killed those so i just guessed them >.>
all name changes were made with POLUtil

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Yes, that's it. 3F is not labeled (but it's faster to link all 4 instead of trying to just pull 3 from the group) and the ones on 1F don't tell you what specifically. They are all labeled as droppers, though. Only issue will be if you only want to kill one in the inner room, if you only need 4 of one of the cells.

Thanks to both of you for the advice. I'll probably test out that .dat, and if too much is missing attempt to make my own and post it here.

That is well...cheating imo. Using widescan is at least a game ability.

This is an old argument lol I've never used them personally but it kinda just depends on your outlook I guess. Anyway, I did typo in that quoted part above; it's the far left corner (far right corner is a group of 2 anyway).

Whether you consider it cheating or not, it saves a substantial amount of time, and prevents us from being forced to bring Widescan. More items for my group with absolutely zero negative effect on anyone else sounds like a win-win to me.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Not to mention you can still determine which is which via widescan placements, so this isnt a "hidden" secret, it is just an optimization.

    And time for bitch session:

FUCK the days the madames want to be bitches.

Im talking the days they use Chorus for EVERY FUCKING TP MOVE, and then cast death every fucking time they use Providence. Seriously, lets take a five min fight and turn it into 20 for no reason. Fuck you Madame, get off your goddamn tampon and stop cock blocking my Gotes for the last 8 months. Fuck your Chorus, Fuck your Death, Fucking your god damn 1% drop rates while other teams are going 1/1.

    Fuck.
