Oh, that would probably explain that, thanks. I have yet to actually do Zhay, just trying to get the ground plan laid out.

Just did zhayolm today, no ranged in the starting chest and no ranged from 2f. If we'd used the logout trick to pop 1f frog like we usually do, we still could've managed to do 6f... (1f, 2f, jakko, 3f) but of course this was the one run we didn't do 1f. We decided to kill some frogs on 4f to try for ranged.... but 3 floor resets later we'd only gotten one ranged cell, and had to call it a failed run ;_; BOO @ failed runs, our 2nd failure this week (stupid glitched SSR on wednesday) after ~6 months of flawlessness.
I learned a lesson though - on zhayolm farming non-boss runs, it's probably a lot safer to do 1f frog as one of the 4 to pop 6f, just in case you get unlucky with rings or ranged. With 1f frog, you can still get the 6f kill even if you don't manage to do pathos unlocks.
Just recently got a few SSR cards again so been spamming ZR again. I got a few SS of us doing 5fN and the logout glitch isn't reliable. I always save the mp cell, and sometimes the frog pops after our blm logs and sometimes he doesn't.
So I wouldn't rely on this unless you have no choice(like 2 ranged drops only).
hey guys my group was doing zhaylom tonight (weve done it countless times) and have a question. have frogs always casted death? ive never seen death cast by them ever in zhaylom, but tonight floor 2 cast death (was interupted though) and floor 5 cast back to back death which caused us to time out since we go low man
Yes, after a Frog uses Perdition? I believe they have access to a few high level spells that they don't use normally including Death, always stun after Perdition goes off.
Can let the spell go off. Graviga, blindga, and bindga arent particularly deadly. Death is pretty rare, but some madame seem to use it more than other (maybe when you zone on dark day?).
Anyway, smash axe and spell interupt is generally what save me. I actually havent died once on the last 6-7 death spell casted, and we have no stunner beside melee.
The name of the TP move that gives Poroggo NMs access to spells like Death etc is actually "Providence" - just thought I'd clear that up. Always have your stunner (if you have one) or a melee with TP be ready to stun in case they cast death / breakga (which has a VERY large range from the target the spell is cast on, it's safest not to let this cast even if you have a whm for stona, one time we wiped on 5F cuz breakga cast and hit all 6 pt members, and the mages were standing at like 15'+ from the NM / melees) or you can hope to interrupt it with melee hits (doable but risky of course).
For what it's worth; Frog Chorus is still "nerfed" after September 16th patch.
To clear up if you haven't read; if a charmed PT emmber hits a anon-charmed PT member they instantly uncharm. So for an easy time with Frog Chorus just have your mages more than 20' away from madame, and get hit on purpose by the charmed PT members so they instantly uncharm.
I know you do not have to kill the SSR card pop NM to spawn the 6th floor NM. My question is, do you need to kill the frogs or is the 6th floor frog spawn condition just spawning 4 NMs?
Kill frogs, jakko needs to be popped only.
just did ZR
4,5,6 frog + boss with 15 min left after kill boss
so hilarious lol, we entered lightningday too and the frogs resist to stun, THF no ability to sac and rdm had to do it -.-
Would it be possible to fully gear 3 ppl in a low man run (4-5) in 30 mins to meet the requirement to pop the floor 4 frog and also the 5th?
did a 4+5+6+boss too.. thats hillarous indeed... We even spend 10 minute reloading 4F for MND and HP we didn't get...
I've updated the wiki with more specific information about 4F cell drops. This was the first time I've killed mamools on 4F; when we arrived the first time we had the first layout, and when we restarted the level we had the second layout. Does anyone know if this is consistent, or if it's random which of the two you get each time you start the floor?
I'm just reading this and I'm shocked, best time to full gear 3 people for my group has never been that short, how can you full gear 3 people and still get to the 4th floor under 30 min? or am I misreading and you're actually going south path? (but I'm assuming you're going for the interesting frogs)
Could you please explain how you do it? I'd be really interested to know ^^;
Chest->inner rooms->clear ne room + frog->(2x of mobs that drop on 2nd floor->jakko
send someone north, kill south till you get 3x max mp. zone up at 29
On the 4th floor kill madame, kill mamools, kill WRONG rampart zone up, kill again for another set of 2x stats+hp
Thank you a lot for this!
I assume this only would work for a group of 6-8 people, not for more considering we don't get people that will idle for the entire run? Or did you manage to also do it with bigger groups?
Yeah, any more than that and several people will get no cells. In my 4F run the other day we had 8 people, and our second RDM got no magic cell; I was planning to dupe one for him on 2F but ended up needing to dupe Ranged instead.
Few questions about a boss only run:
1) On 1F is it worth the time to get everyone weapon and opac? Its more directed at like say BRD, If you need to kill 2 extra mamool and 4 extra mobs just to get the 7th member (brd) a weapon and opac, is it gonna make that time up by using soul voice and having weapon on boss?
2) Would you typically want to bring a good 6or7 (spending less time on 1F, and less time on 3F getting HP) or bring the same 6-7 + 2-3 blms (spending more time on 1F/3F and less time clearing 6Fand boss) ?
3) Had a problem with the boss today, where everything was going fine, then bam mnks moved slightly and discoid hit just them. Where should the mnks stand, at very front of chariot or off to the side? I mean like what is the easiest way to ensure everyone is always gonna be in the right position for discoid?
