Regarding L-AC-- are you guys zerging/kiting with a ranger setup? We still don't have a consistently reliable strat for this, and it likes to jack 4-5 times, so it's never reliable for a tank to run in and nab hate after 4th jack..

oh the chariot in zhayolm was rough, a few melees died, but pretty much just heavy healing got the job done with melee damage.

for LAC, whoever had hate just kited it whenever it did brainjack and bind/grav any threatening charmed people. had 2 rngs DDing mainly and 3 blms. had few mnks running in and out punching it too.

so if the remaining madame are supposedly on 4th 5th and 6th floors...
(assuming that rampart kill is required to pop along with clearing the rest of the floor; to be consistent with 3rd floor) maybe:

4th floor: clear the entire floor + rampart before (or after warp)
5th floor: clear entire floor + rampart (has anyone even tried clearing this floor?)
6th floor: clear entire floor + rampart (has anyone actually tried killing the rampart after clearing the floor to open the door?)

I'm bringing in the crew tomorrow. Looks like the set up's going to be:

THF, NIN, PLD, MNKx3, WHMx2, RDM, BLM, BLU, WAR, BRD

It's quite likely that I can find another Monk or BLM (these two are from my Limbus crew; one has BLM, BLU, MNK and SMN leveled, while the other has BLM, RDM, BRD, and WHM leveled).

I think we have a good set up to take out the boss. I'm going to spend some time today figuring out the strategy a little bit, as far as who *needs* what cells to succeed. I do have a few questions (I have spent the last 30 minutes or so reading over this thread to make sure I haven't missed anything..)

1 - How weak are the first floor mobs? I know most of the Bhaflau mobs (lolBifrons, and to a lesser extent, Wamoura) were fairly weak. As it stands, I have a total of 6 Native H2H users. It *seems* like we could split them up, but since the number of Monks isn't exactly even (if I had / have 4, I'll just send two with each respective team), I'll need to base who goes where off that.

2 - For those who fought the boss; how fully geared up were your tanks? Seems like having alot of HP is the key, as well as enough people in range to mitigate discord damage.

3 - How much HP (rough estimate) does BCC have? I read Arthar's post saying that it seems to take reduced damage, but on the other hand, it seems to go down fast. I figured I'd swap the bard to the Monk party at the end, use HF+SV, and have them go to town on the thing.

4 - 6th floor chariot. I apologize if I missed something here, but is it killing the chariot and all the 3x gears that causes the door to open? Or just clear everything in the room? Also, it seems like a THF sac pulling is the best strategy -- I heard something about sac pulling the chariot into the west room. What people have done. . has it been, THF sac pulls the chariot into the west room (where everyone's waiting) people kill the chariot first, THEN move onto the gears, which won't party aggro / move back to initial position, or what?

I apologize for all the questions (especially if they're redundant). I would definitely like to try my best to get this run right the first time through. I'm *really* hoping we can get a Tsukikazu Togi and Phobos legs, as that would allow us to farm Arrapago in hopes of perhaps actually completing a set for people.

The more I think about it, the more I think that the Madame pop conditions are not actually that complicated. Just that nobody's ever tried it.

On 3F, both Madames are popped by clearing EVERYTHING on that half of the map, and THEN the Rampart.

On 4F North (even the DAT files don't indicate that there's a Madame in the South), has anyone ever tried clearing the entire floor, and then the rampart?

On 5F North, has anyone ever tried clearing the entire floor, and then the rampart?

4F is weird, because the North section of the map has each room repeated twice, and at the end there's 2 madames. This leads me to believe that after you take the wrong porter, you end up on the same floor with all new mobs (and a new Madame). It also leads me to believe that it's not possible to get warped back to the beginning of the floor more than once.

    Yes.

It was the wrong rampart so after killing all the Gents + Mamools + Rampart, we warped back to the floor and everything was the same. Gents + Mamools + Ramparts respawned. And we ran out of time before we could do anything else.

Maybe it's best to try to hit it the second time around then. Since it doesn't look like it's possible to get the "wrong rampart" twice based on DATs. It looks like second time you'll be able to kill all 4 ramparts with no problem. So maybe on 4F N you just go warp right away then if you got the wrong rampart try to kill all the gents + rampart.

Another option I guess would be Kill everything on North then try to pull all 4 ramparts simultaneously.

Does the "correct" rampart change each time? I know Aurik mentioned that he recently got the correct rampart in Zhayolm South. remember which one it was?

I remember ours was the one in the Southeast. But I can't remember if that was first or second.

Do you remember if your Rampart called reinforcements or not?

4th Floor South Ramparts do not despawn. You also never get sent back to 4F South, the portal always brings you to 5F.

I've only done the north path once so I don't really know how it works. Do you always get sent back once, or is it possible to move to 5F on the first warp? Or can you end up doing 4F over and over if you keep killing the "wrong" Rampart?

It would be interesting if you have to pull all 4 Ramparts at the same time to pop the NM...

I know, I asked about which one it was because even in the South, only one rampart activates the teleporter. I'm wondering if it's the same one every time. If so, maybe the North one is the same one every time also.

First time going north the 3rd one let us go up (first guess).

Second time going north 3rd one sent us back to the same floor and none of them worked until we killed the fourth.

Just to clarify, does this mean that after being warped back, pulling the wrong rampart did not make the others despawn?

They despawned each and every time after teleporting back. The originals we killed were also back. Like the time we had to kill all four, when we killed #4 the first three ramparts were also respawend.

So it was possible to be warped back more than once?

<.< Maybe I just said it strange but yeah. We got boned and had to kill each of them after running back from wrong tele. We killed #3, warped up started over. Went to #1 killed it warped up started over. We killed each of them this way and wasted a TON of time. North is gay and after that we just went south each time.

But after the first rampart dies the door will stay unlocked. Thats an interesting tidbit to note.

Do the Poroggo Gents use charm? I wonder if Lv. 35 gear is just a really rare drop from Gents.

Do you mean Frog Chorus (AoE)? I thought all Poroggos use Frog Song (single-target), and Frog Chorus is NM-exclusive (but not all NMs use it?)

EDIT: Grrr, accidentally got rid of a decent-sized thing I was going to put here. Anyway, here is roughly what I said:
I have another theory that the remnants that are "partners" have Lv.15/35 armor drops that are reversed/parallels:

    Zhayolm/Silver Sea:
Lv.15: NMs that drop Lv.15x2/1 NM breaks this pattern/NMs that are exclusively Poroggo Madames (Zhayolm); NMs that drop Lv.15+Lv.35 armor/NMs of various types (Silver Sea)
Lv.35: NMs that drop Lv.35x2/NMs that are exclusively Poroggo Madames (Zhayolm); NMs that drop Lv.15+Lv.35 armor/1 NM breaks this pattern/NMs of various types (Silver Sea)

    Arrapago/Bhaflau:
Lv.15: Normal monsters that are archaic machines (Arrapago); normal monsters of various types (Bhaflau)
Lv.15: Notorious monsters of various types (Arrapago); notorious monsters that are indirectly archaic machines since they are rampart reinforcements (Bhaflau)
EDIT: Lv.35 drops also might sometimes repeat for both areas, which would give Arrapago/Bhaflau multiple chances to get Lv.15/35 armor, and Zhayolm/Silver Sea a 1 chance only for both Lv.15 and Lv.35 armor.

Okay, this made a lot more sense when I was first typing it. >_>

EDIT2: There are also probably some parallels between the "mirroring remnants," such as Poroggo Madames and Qiqirn sharing some similarities. It's also worth off-topicly noting that the "partner remnants" are on opposite corners of each other on both the map (Zhayolm - SW, Silver Sea - NE; Arrapago - NW, Bhaflau - SE) and in the "Alzadaal symbol" (Zhayolm - upper right, Silver Sea - lower left; Arrapago - upper left, Bhaflau - lower right), and the "mirror remnants" are on the same sides on both the map and the symbol (vertically for the map and horizontally for the symbol). Don't mind me, I'm really bored.

Because I'm really bored: There's also some paralleling between the enemy leaders in Nyzul Isle:
Don Poroggos (Zhayolm): Only the first letter in the NM's name is different and the total name is "<Vowel>riri Samariri"
Devilets (Silver Sea): Only the last letter is different and the total name is "Mokk<Vowel>"

Vile Soulflayers (Arrapago): Only the last word is different and the total name is "Vile <NearEasternName>"
Custards (Bhaflau): Only the first word is different and the total name is "<Spice> Custard"
