I'm not sure, my group has spent less time here than any other zone.
I guess that if Frog Song marches everyone in your group back into the middle of the room, clearing it in advance could be wise.

It links to the Gents and the Gents link to it. It's also standing in the middle of them so you probably have to clear most of them before pulling it, we killed it when there was only one Gent left (which linked but was slept).
First floor we cleared the initial four rooms, invised past all the mamools and then killed enough of the other mobs for 6 additional SJs, 3 magic, 3 abilities, and 1 weapon. Ported up NE. Killed Lizards until we get Ranged which didn't drop until the second to last one, so we cleared all of those or all but one, but didn't touch the mamool there. Third floor we cleared the first three rooms of mamools west path, slept the lizards in the last room and ported up when the last BST mamool there died like someone here had recommended. When we ported up it was up.
Another possibility I guess is that it mirrors the 3rd floor's North-side items, South-side cells drop. Last time we cleared those Gents we had a THF and got a lot of armor cells and like 6 MP cells, but yesterday we got I think 3 waist, 3 body, and 3 head total from the Gents in that room and no MP at all with no THF (Syanonn was the THF who came BRD yesterday you can probably figure from the chatlog lol). So it's possible that the Madame didn't drop anything for the same reason, although that feels kinda wrong if it's true. It did drop a crate with body boost, soldiers drink, and some other goodies in it.
We got lucky and killed it before chorus so I'm not sure what the path is, but I imagine it would just take us back to where it's usually walking around, rather than a circuit around the floor since that's what the other Madame's we've fought in the past do (Socket and 3rd floor N and S).
So just to confirm, you did something like this:
First floor - 0 gents were popped, 0 mamools were killed
Second floor - madame was not popped, mamool was not killed (was the mamool definitely popped?).
Third floor - only mamool and pets were killed from the w/s path were killed, but no mobs in the long rectangular room were touched. rampart was not touched.
This is accurate. As for whether or not the mamool popped on 2nd floor, I'd have to ask someone since I was the one who ran to the teleporter when they were killing the last couple lizards.Originally Posted by divisortheory
By any chance were you parsing the run?
No, sorry. But I can ask the others if any of them were.
So basically you skipped a lot of "special mobs"? (1F gent/Mamool, 2F Mamool, & 3F rampart)
So based on the information here it could be time-based, random pop, or avoid the Zenists/2F Mamools/Ramparts?

Here's a weird idea:
To spawn 4F madames: Skip 1F Mamools/gents
To spawn 5F madames: Skip 2F Mamools
To spawn 6F madames: Skip 3F ramparts
This would make it the first area to have something affected by your actions on a previously, right? Although there was that theory about 6F QQTHs being spawned by having QQAs cast Warp.
We skip ramparts pretty much every time we go, and we've never seen 6F Madames. Although we've also never killed the 2 ramparts on 6F after unlocking the door, either.Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
Considering the Madames are "just up" when you get to the floor, I think the thought of one floor affecting another is reasonable, unless it's timed/random pop. It seems like if she's not there when you zone up you're SOL.Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
What we need is for someone to repeat your exact run down to the tee.
If it's up again the next time after repeating the exact same sequence of events
-> Could be based off actions on previous floors (likely)
-> Could be timed (less likely)
-> Could be random (unlikely)

Well my idea mostly goes for 4F madame since, like Mofro said, it has been reported to just be there. The fact that they skipped virtually every special non-NM (and NM but I doubt that affects anything) helps to bring the theory to life, but not to narrow down which, if not any or all, mobs need to be skipped.
EDIT: Also, if someone does repeat that and it is indeed up, someone should try something similar but not identical to see if everything needs to be done, so we can narrow down the pop condition(s)
If this helps, I was told later that we entered at 11:48pm EDT. The filename from the screenshot I took above indicates it was taken at 12:34am EDT. However, before it was taken we killed the 4 mamools in the room to the east after porting up, so figure we ported up somewhere around 12:30am EDT, or 42 minutes after entry, give or take a couple minutes on either end.
Definitely strange that it just happens to fall in the 40-45 minute range.
Our PLD from last night says there were still 2 lizards we didn't even pull when I ported us up, so no mamool pop on 2nd floor.
My group also skipped 1F Mamools and Gents, 2nd floor Mamools, and 3rd floor Ramparts when going to the 4F N. We didn't cause any Gents to pop on 1F or Mamools on 2F either. So it seems to be more of a time range. Gonna stab someone in the face if it's 30-45 minute range and my group was too fast by 10 seconds.![]()
(praying it's not a pure luck pop)
Skipped as in didn't pop? Or popped but just ignored?Originally Posted by Sci
